Our one night at Susitna Place was wonderful. Our plane was late getting in, but the owner met us and was very welcoming with a big red apple. We could see Denali from our deck. We had a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious and we sat with a gentleman from New Zealand.

Comfortable place to stay with an amazing view. Breakfast had a variety to give a good start to anyone. We stayed in a room with private bath and 2 full beds (The Katmai Room). We prefer queen but the full bed was fine for a night and comfortable. Our room wasn't very dark but was dark enough for us, but... More

Our family really enjoyed our stay at Susitna Place. First, the location was quite good, close to downtown and on a very quiet street. We were greeted warmly and given a short tour & overview which was helpful. The deck and common room look out on the water which was an excellent view for breakfast. We stayed in the Iliamna... Great location, wonderful house, sweeping views, excellent food, great hosts, but ... I knocked a point off the review because the mattress was worn out and didn't provide good back support. We were in the Denali room. Having a good quality bed is of prime importance to me because of back issues. I realize upkeep is a major expense, and... More

We stayed in the Denali room (yes we could see the mountain) with wonderful views over water to snow capped mountains from the deck. Yet we were within walking distance of downtown. The room was very well appointed including private deck. You can make a cup of tea in the kitchen upstairs. Breakfast was a good spread - cereal, fruit,... More

My husband and I stayed here overnight before boarding our flight home. The house is very clean and comfortable, we had a the redoubt room downstairs and a shared bathroom and found it perfect for us, especially the luxury of cable tv. The breakfast was fairly simple - a spread of cereals, pastries, bagels, fruit salad, reindeer sausage and yogurt.... More

This is a beautiful place to stay, very welcoming, quiet little side street so no traffic, with a large living and dining area available for your use. The views are nothing short of gorgeous from the main room and the deck looking over Cook Inlet. We ate our dinner(from our cooler) on the deck one evening. The sunset is a... More

We only stayed one night after our 7 day cruise but I wish we'd stayed longer. The owners are very welcoming! The view from the deck is amazing. The breakfast options are wonderful. I just can't say enough about this little hidden gem. I will be back for sure. And the beds were very comfy.

Stayed two nights at Susitna Place bed and breakfast. Our rooms were very clean and furnished nicely. The best part was the amazing view of Cook Inlet. We spent several hours just enjoying the view on the deck. The hostess was very friendly and made us feel comfortable. She had many books on Alaska that were available for her guests... More

I used this place about eight years ago to start a trip and decided to repeat again. Linda remembered me from then. Rooms are clean and quiet and breakfast was filling. Would absolutely use this place again. Important note: use navigation system to go to Benehana restaurant, then reset to Susitna Place. There is a big cliff which separates N... More
