We stayed at the Captain Cook hotel over a recent weekend visit. This is a very large three Tower Hotel on the western side of downtown Anchorage very close to a popular waterside trail that extends for 12 miles along the western edge of the city. The hotel looks A bit dated on the outside and in lobby areas, however...

it is a very busy hotel. Lots of conventions. Restaurants are normally packed. Good location. Rooms are nice but dated. I stayed in tower one and there was one working ice machine on the 3rd floor. My room was on the 9th floor with a slow elevator, it took quite a while just to get ice everyday. There is a...

This is the hotel that our Princess Land and Sea adventure booked us in, and it does not disappoint. The hotel itself is a gorgeous building and stands out in the city skyline. The interior spaces and the rooms are very well kept and the size of the rooms are great for a family. The pool club is luxurious and...

The restaurant was good for breakfast. The room had a nice view of the mountains and city. Thr front desk was very accomodating, calling to let us know when the Northern Lights were out in the middle of the night. The gift shops feature beautiful Alaskan Native Art.

We've stayed at the Cook many times over the years. This time we were there for an evening event at the hotel. Everything was lovely from checkin to checkout. The staff is always kind and helpful. The room seemed to have been updated, it felt less dated and in a better state of upkeep than in our past stays.
