Most downtown rooms were $200-$300, but I found a room here close to $100 - pleasant walk to downtown; recommended by my friends who are neighbors. Very friendly nice hosts who gave me great ideas for staying busy when my friends were busy. Loved the Coastal Trail - expected colder weather, but was surprised by how warm it was.

Close to the finish of our marathon and downtown, we stayed in former judge's study which was cool in their Alaskan heat wave and had a charming spiral stair and fireplace we could imagine using on a winter night. The hostess was very friendly and gave us wonderful tips on dining - we're planning a family celebration next year, and... More

The location of this B & B is very convenient, especially for us as it was only a few blocks from our son's house where we spending the majority of our time. So we didn't have to rent a car. However, this place is not by any stretch of the imagination a nice B & B. The apt we stayed... More

My hotel overbooked and recommended this small comfortable b&b where I could walk to downtown and a nearby grocery and café. The room had a convenient small kitchen and had been the a study for a judge. Clean and comfortable. Hostess was very helpful in helping me plan my sightseeing especially since many sites were closed. Lovely stay! Much less... More

A feeling of quaint downtown living in safe neighborhood with friendly helpful host who boasted about Alaska´s charm and suggested great adventures, dining and sights to see. Hidden forest like and rustic, clean and comfortable with a spacious 2 bedroom suite which was much larger than I anticipated, but was a pleasant surprise. Grocery and deli only 2 blocks.

Warm Alaskan winter so I enjoyed walking to town from this lovely home. Host has great tips. Sagaya Deli closeby. Coastal Trail a beautiful walk. Reasonable rates. Hidden location behind big pine trees.

Wonderful real Alaskan style adventure. Host was knowledgeable when attending conference. Enjoyed skating at lagoon, and eating thriftily at Sagaya which was only a block. Too bad my stay was so short- not much snow but enjoyed. Room was clean, nice decor, excellent location - walking distance to downtown.

Wonderful stopover on my way to Prudhoe - little kitchen, close grocery, laundry, plus homey spot with friendly host offering great tips. Would stay here again. Loved the easy walk to downtown, and the hidden behind trees seclusion, and walk along nearby ocean.
