Private room on top floor. Comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, halls and big kitchen. Basic breakfast included. Toast, cereal etc. Good central location. For the price, it's a good basic stay. No frills, quiet nights. All ages represented.

Lovely hostel. Rooms were comfortable and bathroom was very clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful. It's a 5 minutes cab ride ($11 approx) to the train station and 10 minutes ($15) to the airport. Very good value for money and would definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our time in the Arctic Adventure Hostel and returned several during our 7 weeks trip through Alaska. The basic room was clean as was the shared bathroom and the large kitchen. For that price in Alaska, we cannot complain about anything!

A quick rundown - Location is mid town which was about a 45 minute walk to downtown. Was a little away of the action for me. Good base though if it's just a quick set up and get supplies then leave. Wal mart is 5 minutes around the corner so that's handy. The hostel was clean and tidy. It has...

I stayed for 2 weeks or so and it was the best time in Anchorage. I was is a shared room. It was very clean and nice. Had a few different roommates which was awesome, because everybody tells you a different story about them. It makes your stay even better. The manservant was the nicest guy. If you have the...

We have stayed here 4 or 5 times before, only over night before driving to our final destination in Homer, Alaska. One couple & one single male. Had a very late arrival flight & after renting our car & getting lost, it was 2:30 am when we got to the hostel. True to his word, the new owner was waiting...

Agree to most of the reviews. It's just a place to sleep. Stayed there for the first two nights and the last night in Alaska. A good stop to get something you need for your next destination. (Laundry, banking or shopping.) This place was sold to a Korean family. The owner is pretty quiet and still work on the dorm....

Stayed in this hostel my first and last night in Alaska. It was a good value as I didn't want to pay a ton of money for a room I would barely use due to later arrivals and early morning flights. Older building and a bit run down but surprisingly very clean. Kitchen and shared bathrooms were practically spotless. Small...

We are a group of 5 friends (we are all in our 60's) traveling to Homer for 10 days & stayed here one night (7/4/15) to recoup from our flight from Tampa, FL. We have stayed here twice before (just overnight) before heading out to other destinations in Alaska. It is a basic hostel, leave shoes at door, no smoking,...

Stayed 9 nights during the off season. Owner was informative of the local area, and a Cubs fan which is always nice to see. Had a room to myself due to the slow time so that was nice. Not much else to say, just a place to sleep, eat occasionally and shower. No complaints! Great location. Near Wal-Mart, many shops...

“We had two stays there, both on the top floor. Both rooms were quiet and right across the hall from the bathroom/shower. However, being on the top floor also meant the rooms got a bit warm in the evening! About the only downside I can think of to the Midnight Sun!”

“You will need to get a taxi from Anchorage airport, approximately $15. Check out the huge Barnes and Noble bookstore nearby. Outback Steakhouse is a couple of minutes walk and worth a meal.”
