We were looking for a local place, clean, comfortable, with accessible location and not too expensive. This place is beautifully decorated with its own style. If you are bored with standard hotel setting, you will like this place. It looks actually much nicer and newer than the pictures. The bath room is clean and nice. JoAnna made us a tasty...

JoAnna was very welcoming and helpful. The house is really nice, rooms and bathrooms very clean. Decoration is charming. The breakfast was very refreshing compare to other hotels or B&Bs, fresh fruits, home made muffin. Quiet neighbourhood, can park outside the house.

I enjoyed my stay @ Planet Anchorage it met all my needs. I was greeted by a note from my Hostess guiding me through the process. I immediately felt at home. The Home was clean and quiet. The bedroom I stayed in (although missed the name) had an awesome bed almost as nice as my own. Although a little off...

It's difficult to add to the rave reviews already expressed, but I want to express my thanks to Joanna for her friendliness, good travel advice and for providing a pleasant home-atmosphere to come back to after a long day of sightseeing. We stayed 6 or 7 nights in total, split into the front and back ends of our 13 day...

Joanna was a very good host, very accommodating and helpful in so many ways. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful, wholesome, healthy and filling breakfasts. Carried us through our sightseeing days in Anchorage. We stayed in the 60's themed room. It was funky and the bed very comfortable. Easy walking and bicycling distance from downtown. Taxi between $8 and...

Comfortable house in slightly off-the-beaten-track neighborhood east of downtown Anchorage. JoAnna is a very kind host, friendly and thoughtful. Very reasonable prices (certainly as compared to the crazy hotel costs in Anchorage!). Well-made breakfasts, very accommodating in that regard. Met some quite interesting people in our stay, I think that places that are just a little offbeat attract some diversity,...

Joanna was a great host and made us very welcome. We were in Jungle Joe's bungalow and found it very comfortable. It was great having an ensuite bathroom which had nice fluffy towels. This B&B is also very convenient to town. Don't be concerned at its closeness to the airfield as we certainly didn't hear any noise. We had a...

This is not your typical B&B, so don't show up there thinking that will be the case. But that is a good thing. You are made to feel at home right away. Breakfast each morning was terrific - We were treated during our stay with an assortment of muffins, pastries, fresh fruits, eggs, bacon, reindeer sausage and beverages as well....

I stayed three nights total from Aug. 30th to Sept. 1st. First of all, I loved Joanna's house. It is soooo cool inside. I stayed in the Retro room and what a cool room it was. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I slept like a baby. Kay, Joanna's sister greeted me at the door when I arrived. She is...

...Au contraire! JoAnna is a warm, welcoming host and is a great source of information about local restaurants and things to do in the area. We stayed at Planet Anchorage for a total of four nights at both ends of our Alaska vacation. The location of the B&B makes it easy to get downtown and to the airport by car....
