My brother booked us rooms here for a nearby concert. They had a few parking spots under the building in a secure garage for only $25/night and more spots in another garage about a block or 2 away (our vehicles were in the first one). This is an older historic hotel that's been updated, and rooms were clean, the location was very convenient to walking everywhere (sports fields, piers, etc.), and breakfast was very good. It's right by the ferry terminals, a good coffee shop right next door, and we ran out of town to visit the large toy story across the street. You can request a fridge in your room, and there is elevator access, vending/ice machines, etc. You can still hear city noise from the rooms, so like any hotel, bring your ear plugs if you are light sleeper. Just a note, while we were in town, we had difficulty finding a sit-down restaurant at 8:30-8:45 on a Friday night, they were closing down (staffing issues? just didn't want to stay open? unsure). Even though plenty of bars were open, we had a minor with us so couldn't do that and wanted to avoid walking around too much after dark for obvious reasons. This hotel felt safe and comfortable, though.…
An amazing hotel stay to say the least. The history of the building itself is extremely interesting, as well as the history of Pioneer Square. Speaking of the surrounding area, I would highly recommend a city facing room on the top floor. A few of the rooms have balconies that you can go out on and see Smith Tower and the other old buildings, which is an amazing experience. In addition to that, the staff was very helpful and kind, parking was cheap (by Seattle standards, $25 for almost 24 hours) and the room was very clean. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Seattle, especially with the proximity to the must see tourist sights.
Historical property on an old tree-lined street that was close to everything! Being downtown there are some “interesting “ individuals on the streets nearby, but this did not affect our trip one bit! Having just got off a cruise we chose to spend a couple of days in Seattle since we’ve never been. It was THE PERFECT location. The quick access to the train station at our departure to the airport added to the location’s benefits. I will definitely stay here again.
This hotel was wonderful, although the area was questionable. I arrived on a morning flight and they very kindly allowed me to check in early, which was really nice of them; the desk staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The room was great - small (I had a budget room) but very clean and comfortable, and looked newly refurbished. Bed and desk chair were the only places to sit, bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows, and all very clean. The bathroom was likewise spotless, plenty of counter space, good water pressure in the shower, and everything worked well. There were little touches that hotels don't always have, such as a full-length mirror, a towel bar next to the sink. The wifi worked well. I heard no sounds from other rooms, there was typical street noise that you would expect in a city. The hotel's lobby was small but friendly, and the breakfast was above-average for a hotel buffet, with plenty of choices. I chose this hotel because I had never been to Seattle, because it was cheaper than most other hotels downtown, and the description of the Pioneer Square area sounded interesting. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday, maybe the pandemic changed things, but I didn't see many charming shops or sights, but as a solo female traveller, I did not find the area very safe, and did not want to return to the hotel at night - in fact, I got takeout for dinner and ate in my room. The hotel was literally across the street from the ferry terminal to Bainbridge Island, and that was a fun excursion. It was also convenient to the Link train to the airport, and by uber to other parts of Seattle.…
We returned from our cruise and took a Lyft to the hotel. I had requested an early check in and thankfully we were able to check in when we arrived. Our room was small but quaint. This is an older hotel but the charm can't be beat. The AC was nice and cold so we slept great. We walked to the ferry and took a trip to Bainbridge for part of the day. We were able to walk to anywhere we wanted to go so it was conveniently located. I would definitely return to this hotel again.
The hotel was great and very clean the staff were super friendly and very helpful. there were quite alot of semi aggressive homeless in the area. I wasnt prepared for that because at home in montana its not really in your face. It was humbling. We had a good visit and would stay again if we made it back to the area
I loved this hotel. It's a piece of history in a wonderful location in Seattle. I had no issues with anything, check in agent was friendly, helpful with information & very nice. My 4th floor king bed room was great, nice bed & 2 windows with a small french balcony. The bathroom was equal with a nice tub. This was the size of hotel room of bygone days with charm. The breakfast served was nice, the usual items you woyld expect with an also nice & smiling person. The hotel is 3 blocks walk from the metro from the airport & about a 10 minute walk to the market. Pioneer Square is nice with lots of coffee shops & restaurants. Next time I am in Seattle I will stay here. Try it, you will love it also..
Nice hotel, excellent service by the staff... Very reasonable for downtown Seattle. Access for Uber and other transportation was excellent. Nice walking distance to the Boardwalk. The staff held our luggage after check out for a couple of hours, no charge and safely stored. They also allowed us to wait in the Lobby after a long morning shopping at Pikes Market until we were able to board our Cruise Ship
The new parking garage was very convenient and seemed incredibly secure., the rooms were great and the location was fantastic. The woman who checked us in around 5pm on Friday was incredibly helpful, kind and friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Seattle
Stayed at BW Pioneer Square for 2 nights before a cruise. Great location near Pier 66, Pike Market, Alaska Way and other sites. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again when in Seattle.
