I asked for a room cleaning and all they did was bring bath towels. No hand or wash towels. And no room cleaning. There was no posted time for Breakfast. We finally did eat on the day we were leaving. Good and I was glad the coffee was ready at 6 am.
Worst check in. Front desk didn’t care that we were traveling all day and wanted to check in. Room wasn’t available at check in & tried to talk us into a king bed (for 3 people). Air conditioner vent was filthy and gave my son an allergy attack. The bell boy was the only helpful person at this Hyatt. Not as expected for a Hyatt member.
If you aren't getting a room with a view of the space needle then find somewhere else to stay. My family and I determined that was the only thing we were paying for with our stay here. Rooms & pool are small, and rooms are a bit run down. We had called front desk because we thought our toilet was broke only to have the service guy tell us it just fills slowly. Also, our AC unit made a weird noise, sounding like it needed to be serviced. Front desk doesn't inform you that you can't use your keycard entry from phone app to access the higher rooms, even though I told the lady that's what I had. They didn't even advise that you had to use a key card in general to access higher rooms, we learned with trial and error. Breakfast is ok, but coffee is awful, husband had to go to Starbucks. We've stayed at a lot of hotels and this one, was by far one of our most disappointing. Only plus out of this hotel was our view of the Space Needle & it's location. That is what you are paying for. …
Great mattresses and pillows! Clean and crisp bedding. Comfortable climate-controlled room. Safe and easy underground parking with safe entry into the hotel. Not real sure I feel safe walking the neighborhood? Accommodating front-desk.
We stayed at Hyatt Place end of July 2022 in Seattle Downtown. Our room was comfortable and clean. The location was excellent for getting to Space Needle. We took the Hop On Hop Off bus from the Space Needle area to take us around for sightseeing. The free breakfast was fine. Tasted good. Had pancakes one day, then French toast next day. Scrambled eggs everyday with sausage. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance if needed. I had read some negative reviews before I stayed but I did not find any of them to be my experience. The elevators can be tricky because you have to use your room key to make them go up —which is a nice safety feature. Room cleaning was on request and that was fine for us as we prefer not to have people in our room while we are out. I was very happy with my stay here. Also the bed was very comfortable …
This is my first time staying at a Hyatt Place location. This was my worst hotel stay ever. The hotel elevator was not working during our entire stay which was very inconvenient....many people use this hotel before leaving for a cruise meaning they have lots of luggage to transport. Waits for an elevator were sometimes 30 minutes and we would stand by the elevator and have the doors open only to observe the cleaning staff with carts and laundry. The repair staff for the elevator were just rude and we are not totally sure why it took so long. Then, on our first night there was a fire in one of the ice machines and we all had to evacuate...my husband uses a cane and had to walk down 6 stories. Some people staying were in wheelchairs and were unable to get out....lucky for Hyatt it was not a fire that spread anywhere. The front desk staff (especially Daniel) were wonderful; however, Hyatt is not going to keep staff if they don't do something to keep this hotel repaired properly. Great staff---bad management. Oh, and on the last morning, they ran out of food at breakfast so we did not get to eat.…
Not using hyatt place hotel ever. And not recommending it to anyone. Customer service is horrible. Hotel amenities are pathetic. House keeping is a joke. My worst hotel experience after so much traveling
The Room carpet stains many places, including on Sofa. One of the elevators did not work for three days. The Air conditioner makes more noise than average. The breakfast is average. Not many good restaurants around hotel -------------------------
Our hotel stay started off with not being able to check in until after 4 pm and being stuck waiting in the lobby. There was only one elevator working. I ended up being stuck in the elevator for over 15 minutes with nobody answering the help button or the doors opening back up. The final morning breakfast was not restocked so we didn't get any before it closed down for the day even though we arrived 30 minutes before closing.
Checked in on a Sunday after getting off cruise ship. First noticed the condition of lobby isn’t great. Dirty and crowded but can be ignored. Hotel has two elevators and one was broken! It took us longer to wait on elevator than it did to actually check in. Hallways were very warm but room was freezing. The carpets in room were very stained (black and red drink stains). Noticed water sitting on top of toilet lid. Appeared to come from ceiling in bathroom. Immediately told front desk who jotted it down. Nothing was done. Returned after exploring Seattle to find a waterfall coming from ceiling and took video to management who then called worker to fix. Returned after dinner to having to move rooms. Manager did pay for our dinner. Got in new room in third floor where we had to carry luggage up because the elevator takes so long. New rooms carpets were even more stained. After getting settled we discovered the carpets soaked by the a/c unit. So now I think I know where water was coming from in lower room. We were exhausted and tired so we stayed in the room. Told worker because manager wasn’t there. Would not recommend this unless you simply can’t afford anywhere else.…
