This is an unbelievable place to stay. The large open areas are simply grand. We stayed there in one of the smaller rooms that was quite larger than the pictures showed. The breakfast was very diverse with typical European fare as well as a hot baked dish. The house is a short commute to downtown, we used Uber for about...

I recently enjoyed a five-night stay at Shafer Baillie Mansion. I have been traveling to Seattle regularly for 35 years and have never enjoyed my accommodation so much. The location on Capitol Hill is a lovely, quiet neighborhood just one block from Volunteer Park--a quick walk to a park with lovely old trees, the Asian Art Museum and a conservatory...

My Wife and I felt more like we were staying with old friends. Brenda made us feel so at home. She sat at spoke with us each day at breakfast. The fruit cobbler was so amazing! The Mansion is beautiful beyond boasting. Come for the beauty of hospitality, stay for the experience.

Discovered this luxurious, quiet B&B a few years ago and we're delighted to find it is just as wonderful as before! A perfect escape from the huge Convention Centre but less than 10 minutes drive away. Cost is much less than the big hotels, and a lovely breakfast included, along with free parking. Breakfast was a buffet with cereals, yogurt,...

An absolutely stunning B&B, with comfortable rooms, amazing common areas, great breakfasts, and really friendly hosts. Near to Volunteer Park and the Asian Art Museum, which has a great view down to the Space Needle. I found free on-street parking, and accidentally left a sweater there, - they mailed it back to me, gratis. There's a combo lock on the...

This was such a relaxing, luxurious yet "homey" environment, with the friendliest innkeeper one could ask for. A big, gorgeous old mansion in a lovely neighborhood, with plenty of common space to enjoy in the downstairs rooms. The bed was comfortable, and the room clean and more modern than expected in an old style home. I could hardly ever compliment...

So much better than a hotel! We stayed in the gorgeous Capital Hill room on the second floor. It was quiet, spacious and nicely furnished. Meticulous housekeeping, modern, private bathrooms, luxurious linens. The innkeeper and owner treated us with 5-star hospitality. It was a lovely experience. I highly recommend this B&B for its high standards and good value--free (street) parking,...

My husband and I stayed at the Shafer Baillie Mansion recently. The food was excellent! The hosts were friendly and helpful and willing to tell us the history of the mansion and the area. The building was beautifully renovated and maintained and full of historical interest and era appropriate furnishings.

We stayed here for 5 nights recently during a vacation visit to Seattle. I booked the S-B based on the great TA reviews, and we were not disappointed at all.
