It was clean. That's about the only thing that stood out. The counter person didn't say anything but my total and checkout time, no attempt at small talk or courtesy. Nice because of no interruptions, but I felt like I was just a customer, if that makes sense.
Our 30th Anniversary was wonderful day in Seattle, Washington. We live in Idaho and made the trip to Seattle, Washington, for something different. We visited the Piers to have a great places we do not have this back home. Great time
I give this place a four star simply because of their kindness and compassion for our tough situation while our granddaughter is a Seattle Children’s Hospital for heart transplant evaluation. The front desk fellas were compassionate and I felt they truly cared about us. Yes, the neighborhood is rough and the rooms are a little dated and could use some touch up here or there, the exterior could use a facelift, but our room was clean, the breakfast was acceptable for the rate, and housekeeping was on the spot with our request. I normally would have avoided the area, but the choices were limited near the hospital during our week. We were glad we found this place and their kindness overcame any defects they had.
Ruben was awesome, I had some reservation mix ups upon arrival but he made the process smooth and delightful, great customer service skills. The price was great compared to downtown Seattle. My boyfriend and I were there to attend the Blue Jays vs Mariners baseball games, and staying here made it way more affordable. Our stay was comfortable, for those who prefer to take transit there is a bus stop directly in front of the motel, 24 hour Jack in the Box directly next door and a gas station across the street.
I noticed as our airport shuttle drove up to the building that the building needed painting and up keep on the outside. I forced myself to keep an open mind because I already had a reservation that I made through booking.com. We checked in at the front desk. The man working the desk was friendly, he processed the payment and gave us the room keys. I noticed a strong smell of a cheep cleaning product in the hallway. This same smell hit me even harder when I walked into the room. The room was worn and pieces of the desk and dresser laminate were broken off. I did not even want to set my bag down on the bed. We went back to the front desk and asked it there was a room with less of a smell of cleaning product. The desk attendant showed us another room that smelled and looked the same. I told the attendant that I would be sick if I stayed in that room because the smell was already causing me a headache. He would not refund our money. He said he could only refund 1/2 the money. I will never book with bookings.com again and did not stay at this hotel because it was so discussing. We walked about a mile with our bag to the La Quinta and had the best nights sleep for about the same price. Best decision to leave this hotel !…
