Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice hotel, comfortable beds and furniture is in good shape. Room was clean except for a bit of mold on the bathroom ceiling. Shower/toilet area in room is separate from sink and cramped. Location is good, near the convention center and walkable to the waterfront and light rail. There are lots of food options within a couple blocks. The daily room rate was correct but the tax for the 3 night stay was about $50 higher than I remember being quoted from Paramount’s web site. I told the desk about the discrepancy. The confirmation email does not include the expected tax, but it should have. and it didn’t occur to me to take a screenshot of the reservation. Tax is part of the total cost and the hotel web site should be able to accurately provide that for a neighborhood in which it does business.

Most notable about this hotel is the friendly staff. For a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids: 11 and 8) we were comfortable in a 2 queen room, which was kindly upgraded upon our request (from a single queen) on our arrival. About a 10 minute walk from Pikes market. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel is, the rooms are of decent size and the location good. The staff are friendly, but none seem to know what English breakfast tea is, nor are they able to obtain any for guests. At our event at the Paramount, the wifi was slow and the drinking water they provided tasted oddly chlorinated.

We had such a great time at this hotel! Upon arrival we were greeted immediately by the valet, he was friendly and got us all set up quickly. Probably the fastest check-in experience I have ever had a hotel. Our room was spacious and clean with a nice view from the 11th floor. It's a great location for walking as well, not far from the waterfront and surrounded by a nice amount of places to shop! Valet was very quick with getting the car as we were leaving. Definitely recommend this hotel while in Seattle!

This is a nice hotel. However; when I got the bill, the difference between the booking and the final price was almost $200 for 4 nights!!!!! There is nothing much to say. I was shocked to get the final bill.

We stayed in 2 rooms 3 nights at The Paramount early July. Room was clean, good size for 2 adults and 2 teens. Location is pretty good on Pine Street. We paid $ 310 +tax per night , per room. 2 more mins walk to Starbucks for morning coffee. We stayed on the 3rd floor. Walking street view. Nothing fancy although we requested high floor. Didn’t get that request. Receptionist were ok. The bell boy was the one who stood out most. Very helpful and attentive. Let’s talk about the not good part. WiFi was horrible. In 4 days 3 nights none of us couldn’t stay on more than 2 minutes. I went and asked 3 times. One answered the management thinking of update the wifi. The other receptionist said I didn’t know that I always use my own data. Just for an head up if you are looking to do some work while you are traveling this place is not for you. I got a few lucky wifi connected from Hyatt hotel across the street. What a shame for the price we paid per night to get a zero luck connected to wifi. Would I stay here again. Maybe NO but I would do more research next time as there are plenty of the hotels around this area.

Thank you for the honest review! I apologize for the issues experienced with our WIFI and our communication as it related. We are currently in the middle of a significant upgrade to our guest WIFI network. A portion of this project is rewiring our hotel with fiber cables so that we can deliver the fastest speeds possible to our guests once complete. I understand that in today's day and age, WIFI connections on the go and at your hotel are more important than ever and we appreciate your patience while we work to make these upgrades. Best regards, Ian

Spent two nights here at the end of our vacation. The staff was excellent, the room was large, very clean and generally very nice. It was only about a 10 to 15 min walk down to the Pike Place market, which was very nice. There were several places to eat close by. The valet parking went well but if you don't want to do that there was a parking lot across the street. Overall great stay.

Glad to hear we were able to assist in creating a great experience to end what was hopefully a wonderful vacation! That's a great tip on parking. As a hotel that has limited parking available (and it can fill up QUICK this time of year!), it's perfect having the parking lot across the street be so accessible for guests to utilize. Warmly, Ian

Needed a staycation, so decided to try the Paramount Hotel for a few nights. I was super impressed with the size of the room, the location (near everything!) and, especially, Luckie, who welcomed me with terrific kindness and attention. I've stayed in a few hotels in Seattle, some of which are "fancier" than the Paramount... but this place has risen to the top of my favorites list.

Lucky at the front desk was amazing!! He greeted us every time we entered the lobby with a spectacular smile, asked what we were up to and offered suggestions on dining and things to do. Overall, The Paramount hotel was a perfect home base while we visited Seattle. It is set in a quiet area, but is close enough to the action to walk anywhere you wish to be. The room was very nice, clean & comfortable.

The hotel is doing some upgrades while the pandemic. The front desk staff was fabulous, especially Lucky, who made me feel like I was coming home for the holidays. More hotels need a Lucky. I watched her juggle guest calls, help people checking in, all the while making everyone feel special and important. Eric the Head Valet also deserves mention. He understands that he is a guests first impression and he is a fantastic ambassador. I travelled pre covid a lot on business and Lucky and Eric are 1%ers. After all over time the wow factor of a fancy lobby , or a nice room loses its' charm but warm, welcoming , and professional staff are the lasting memory of a good stay
