La Caravelle is a pleasant hotel overlooking the harbour. The reception lady was very friendly and helpful, guiding us to a good restaurant. The room was small but comfortable and clean. Unfortunately there is no lift, but the stairs are wide and shallow, so most people could manage them. The buffet breakfast was of good quality. One to remember!

My first impression was that the shutters and windows needed a clean. Inside my nostrils were overpowered by the smell of a cleaning fluid or air freshener. It really was awful. Looking at the photos I would say our room no. 5 was the smallest with a cubicle bathroom with a tiny shower and horrible plastic shower curtain that stuck...

You have got to stay at this place to fully appreciate! What an excellent choice! The lady at the desk spoke fluent English, was friendly and helpful. Rooms newly remodeled with ocean view, great enclosed deck. Comfortable beds, pillows and linens. Awesome waterfall shower, huge soft bath towels...it was perfect! Perfect stop-off en route to Madrid. Lovers of St Jean de LUZ, we decided on neighboring Ciboure for close parking and easy beach access for our young dog. Loved our four poster bed and spacious bathroom. Breakfast ticked all the boxes. Overall, a charming, friendly and individual little hotel. Enjoyed our night there so much that we rebooked for our...

This hotel is in Ciboure, very close to st. Jean de Luz which is only separated by a bridge. The hotel also overlooks the bay in a quite nice position, even if a bit inconvenient by car: it is right on the street with no parking lot. The staff was very welcoming and kind and the wifi was good. The...

We found Hotel La Caravelle whilst walking in Ciboure - It was just what we wanted! Perfect location, good value and we were not disappointed. The staff were extremely helpful, our room, looking out to the sea, was comfortable and clean. Although we were on the roadside, we didn't find the traffica problem. The hotel had character and it was...

Lovely little hotel right on the beach overlooking the bay. A short stroll to the local cafe for breakfast right next to the house Maurice Ravel lived in, then a ten minute walk into the bustling but beautiful town of St Jean de Luz, with great restaurants, bars and lively basque ambiance. The old harbour is charming and the beach...

We stumbled on this hotel after not being able to park the car anywhere in St Jean de Luz on a hot and very busy Sunday. We drove round to Ciboure and found free parking by the harbour. Walked over to the closest hotel La Caravelle. We couldn't believe our eyes when we were taken up to Room no 1...

It is run like Fawlty Towers, without Manuel. Intrusive inquiries upon arriving. We did have reservations. All of that was correct. After hours of driving I don't wish to answer inane questions about my accent and personal life. Breakfast buffet was a little better than typical. Unorganized breakfast even though there is a strict yes or no in advance for...
