Namaste is an old fisherman's cottage on the islands' southern shore dating back to the 18th century. "Namaste" is a Sanskrit word and it means, among other things, welcome to my heart. Ten years ago I started with cooking workshops and bed & breakfast. Today we are slightly bigger but the core is the same. We offer four different Pampering packages that include accommodation, cooking classes and meals. We have cosy and comfortable accommodation for up to 16 persons. And depending on availability, it is also possible to just come for a lunch or dinner - check in advance though. We can also receive larger groups in our big pavilion. Together with other participants you will prepare different dishes - made of the best possible ingredients. If the group consists of more than 12 participants it will be divided into two. A paper-thin pizza made by you and other tempting delicacies can be produced in the purpose built pizza oven. If you want to focus on wine or enjoy a game of Boule, feel free to do so.

Managed to get table for two in lunchtime ( booked a week ahead). Very friendly staff! Delicious lunch with first and main course was well worth the money. They mainly have accommodation and cooking courses but you can ask if there is room for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I spent a beautiful weekend at NamiNamaste on the Muhu Island in Estonia. The main reason for our trip was to participate in a NamiNamaste cooking class, which we truly enjoyed. Albert the Chef guided us into the secrets of Muhu and Saaremaa cooking with local incredients and vegetables straight from the garden. A fabulous experience and strongly recommended! Other than that we made a little road trip to the neighboring Saaremaa Island plus enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere at NamiNamaste, a beautifully restored Estonian country house with an excellent sauna, friendly and helpful staff, and great service. We were lucky to be able to stay in the 'presidential suite' with all of its space and comfort but would probably have enjoyed to stay in one of the cabins just as well. We will definitely come back and bring along friends too!

When you arrive to Nami Namaste, you realize that you have come to a paradise. You are welcomed by the friendly staff, you see nothing but beauty around you. The houses that are renovated respecting their spirit and tradition, the well kept garden with ecologically grown herbs and vegetables of which the delicious food is made of, nourish you with a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

This is a great place to just be and enjoy food or, as we did, take a cooking course. Every meal is three course and the food is excellent. Sikke, the owner of Nami Namaste, makes always desserts and Albert makes other courses. All guests sit and dine in the same table so you get to know a bit of them as well. The feeling is the thing. Just go and experience it. Once you go there, you'll want to come back again.

I have never heard of Nami Namaste before my friends, for my 40th birthday, presented me with a gift voucher to spend a night and enjoy a cooking class there together with my husband. But I got to understand that Nami Namaste is a place that they all felt I needed, as a contrast to my routined life filled with to-do's and work. I was a bit sceptic when reading that the rooms do not have showers and only one room has its own toilet. As a Finn, I am quite used to rustic amenities, so I quickly got over that "hesitation". My husband and I decided to spend a whole weekend in Muhu, given that it takes a good part of the day to get there from Helsinki. The drive from Tallinn to Virtsu went quickly and the road was in a better condition that many roads in Finland. It took as a while, without WIFI, to find Nami Namaste, but once found we immediately got immersed into a sense of forest magic. We were greeted by Sikke (owner and keeper) and Heidi and immediately felt welcome. We got the room with the toilet, luckily since my Dutch/Peruvian husband is not so keen on going out in the middle of the night. Although we had not ordered any lunch, the chef Albert fixed us two plates with some food since we had not eaten all day. We relaxed immediately, bottles of wine, helped of course, good Portugese red wine. Two other guests also resided at Nami Namaste this weekend. Together with them we had dinner both on Friday and Saturday and the phenomenal cooking class with Albert also took place in their company. Even tough it was interesting to meet new people, this was the only thing I would perhaps like to do different next time. Either to go with a group of friends or then to do a cooking class with just the two of us. Breakfasts at Nami Namaste are wonderful, a good variety of healthy and good stuff. Cosy atmosphere. I enjoyed the best manicure and pedicure by a "called-in" beautician in their super cosy living room, it was rainy day and a perfect day to spend doing absolutely nothing. I would love to go back in the autumn with a group of friends, its one of those places that you go to and you just enjoy the place and each other. Of course there are things to do in the surroundings if you want to, but you can also feel totally ok with doing absolutely nothing but enjoy and rest. Its worth a visit! Pia p.s. our room did not have a tv (which was fine, we did not go for the tv) and the wifi was quite bad except for a few places (which was also fine, since its good to detox every now and then).

We stayed two nights and participated a culinary workshop. Together with other guests and the master chef, we prepared a 5 course meal and had a wonderful dinner. The place is beautiful and homely, and the personnel is very friendly. The rooms are quite far from standard, but in a positive way, if You don't mind sharing the bathroom. Altogether, a unique Estonian countryside experience.

It takes about 2 hours from Tallinn to get there. Nice place, but Sikke Sumari is not allways there! Food was excellent and a sauna was lovely! Rooms are different, ask President Suite - it is the best!

A charming old farm house, decorated with very elegant taste (kind of country chick), the lady of the house just wonderful and warm (an a well known TV cook in Finland). The service was very kind and welcoming, and the isolated spot in the beautiful countryside really relaxing. The sauna was a treat (but as it is very traditional, no shower there; you wash you self with buckets of warm water. This is familiar to every Finn, but might be a bit exotic for others (but fun!) In deed most of the accommodations share shower and toilet (and actually those in the back yard did not have any facilities at all). The so called "presidential suite" (the loft above the main house), which we had, was cosy and decorated in a very Scandinavian way (i.e it was very empty, to the point that there was no place at all for the luggage or cloths). It had a toilet without a shower en suite. As it was early spring, the room tended to be cold all the time (or then very humid from the gas heater; these issues affected sleep quality). This is again a thing well known to a person used to traditional Finnish summer house (they are usually light built and often without conveniences. We had the package A, which include a welcome drink, sauna for an hours, dinner, two breakfast, lunch and a cooking course with a dinner together with the other guests (fun!). The cooking course was not very ambitious (and overbooked with it 9 participants), and hence very little learning took place, even if it was very entertaining. The maximum capacity of the course is 12, which seems a bit too much to me. So what did it cost? With three bottles of wine and perhaps 5 grappas on top of everything, it was over 900 €. Taking into account the primitive nature of the accommodation, it felt too much (even though I love spent money on high quality hotels etc.). The question is, of course, how you put a price tag on an experience. Would I then recommend the experience? Probably yes. It might be a good idea to stay only over one night instead of two. Don't expect material luxury; it's like visiting good friends' summer house with relaxing atmosphere and good food (and a price ticket).

Me and my boyfriend stayed in Nami Namaste in Muhu in July 2010. When we arrived, an extremely helpful staff made us welcome, showed us our room and surroundings. The old farmplace was renovated with great attention to detail. Overall impression was really good. We stayed in a small room in a building with a kitchen. Bathroom was in a hall, just outside the room. As at that day, there were only 2 more guests who stayed in a small house nearby, there was no fuss using the bathroom. We had a good night sleep and had 3 nice meals. The Dutch chef was friendly and always came before eating to explain the contents of the food. The only down side was the price (a bit pricy to my opinion). If booking, ask for room nr 5, which is by far the best room. I would recommend the place.
