Very nice hotell in a calm area, a short distance from the town center. My party had beers in the bar in the evening which was very quiet, not many guests. The breakfast was very nice, I missed the danish pastry though...
For me this hotel seemed as I wrote in the title - in the middle of nowhere 🙂 However, if not talking about location, hotel itself was okay. Lobby area was nicely decorated and staff was friendly. My room was in the first floor and I believe just because of that I had a problem of it smelling badly. I did not understand whether it was because of their kitchen somewhere nearby or because of pipes. However, if you could not choose the 1st floor. I did not try their restaurant because I was told that it was totally booked but I saw that their grow some ingredients by themsvelves so I am sure it is a good sign.
Accommodating staff at our stay. But, unfortunately, where the overall experience quite bad, the bad expect where provoked by an amateur-like kitchen and deficiencies that ruin our stay. The evening meal consisted of a starter and main course. The scallop appetiser was delicious, but unfortunately, there was only under a half scallop on the plate??? this meant we additionally ordered a "real" starter which was quite tasty. The main course a confit chicken, Unfortunately, where the chicken, not confit and came to dry from the oven, this was unfortunately surpassed by the new small potatoes that had been so long in the oven that they were completely hollowed out and could squeeze flat without at the skin even broke, we never experienced anything like in a Danish kitchen.
So me and my wife stayed here on our first night driving from Sweden towards France and Italy and were pleasantly surprised by its quaint location and environment. It offers a relaxed and modern atmosphere with the danish interior design as-well as a nice view over the Pedersborg lake with the hotels vineyard in the foreground. The service was great, very hospitable staff (even though they were a bit understaffed this night leaving many waiting a little bit long for seating and dinner service, all though you wont be going anywhere so just sit back, relax and enjoy the view while you are waiting). They offer great locally produced food for dinner and a hot tip for the bar is a Gin’n’Tonic with the locally made gin! It’s a great, price worthy place for an overnight stop traveling through Denmark!…
My wife and I had a roundtrip in Denmark and Northern Germany this sommer. This hotel was random chosen because of it's location. What a lucky choice! The superior room was great, the included two course dinner was very good and the breakfast was super. And, as a bonus, we could charge our electric car with the hotels semi-fast charger (after the lady in the reception found the right RFID-card for the charger :-))
