Miller's was great to work with on our self-guided kayak trip! They spoke with me over the phone to make sure we had enough experience to safely go out on our own. They outfitted us with a single and a tandem (both Necky Looksha), PFDs, paddles, and paddle floats. We also rented a VHF radio from them. We brought our...

The selling point for this place is almost all location and view. It can get quite crowded (we were here on Memorial Day weekend, so perhaps its not always so bad), feeling like other campers are right on top of you. The bathrooms feel unclean, and not adequately kept up. Still, it's a functional and very reasonably-priced base for a...

The fishing charter without a doubt was hands-down phenomenal! We have been fishing California and the Florida Keys for many years and know fishing. Captain Bill Moore and his mate Crazy Cal James from the Thomasea are some of the best in the business. We were on the fish from the minute we started and they kept us entertained the...

Thanks for the feedback, we really appreciate the kind words. Captain Bill is a great captain and friend, with a real passion for fishing, and has been with us for many years. James is new to our staff this year, and is doing excellent work. We really appreciate the feedback!

The casual nature of Miller's Landing is part of its charm. This family-run business has hosted 4-H camps, Alaska Master Naturalist retreats, and many of my family's weekend times to relax and enjoy the beach. We love the rustic cabins, the tent spaces tucked into the trees, and the immediate access to the beach. The water taxi access to Caine's...

Thanks for the kind words! We enjoyed hosting your party and look forward to doing so again! The history of homestead is very important to us, and the laid-back atmosphere is something we're very proud of. Thanks again!

Nice place, newly built. Plenty of room, plenty of views and things to do, wildlife, fishing. People are friendly, the local check in serves many as they use their boat ramp, offer food and small selection of jackets and other similar items.

This isn't for the faint at heart. It's roughly 10 miles kayaking and 5mile hike that's there and back. I am 50 and was with a group half my age which made it difficult on me to keep up with them. Our guide landed and got everyone out of there raft and myself and my husband were no where near...

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm sorry you had difficulty with the trip. We describe this trip as being suitable for everyone, and the pace should be set by the slowest paddler, not the fastest. We'll take immediate action to make sure all of our guides realize that. We certainly value your business, and appreciate you bringing our attention to...

Miller's Landing is a 10 minute drive down a narrow gravel road from Seward, adjacent to a trailhead through the woods. This is a very low key, casual, red neck sort of place. The view of the bay and mountains is stunning but the motley collection of sheds, shack- like cabins, and campsites is downright unattractive. I visited with a...

My Family and I had a Great time staying here, hanging out on the porch overlooking Resurrection Bay, and most importantly on our 2 day kayak trip into Kenai Fjord's Aialik Bay. The water taxi captain, Steve, pointed out many sea birds on the way out, stopped to watch humpback whales breaching, and was super friendly. Their kayak guide Dakota...

Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you had such a great time! Steve and Dakota are both extremely valuable members of our staff who have been with us for a number of years. The passion they bring to the job is contagious, and we're very lucky to have them. I'm thrilled that you were able to see and do...

We spent two nights camping in our rv here. We had made advance reservations, got great front row waterfront sites. Check-in was a breeze. Wi-fi available as well as bathrooms and pay showers (purchase tokens on-site) and laundromat. Great fire-pit at our sites, wood for sale. We also did a guided kayak trip (Tonsina beach) and it was great!! Our...

The fishing is fair with Captain Bill but the gear is old and wore out. The reels are pretty much junk and the handles on the rods are loose so when you get a fish on it makes it way more difficult. The boat is ok but because there is no anchor winch, they drift fish more with jigs instead...

“Book early and get a Resurrection Bay waterfront spot. Big Kayak trips like Ailic Bay, book in advance. Same as fishing, the person who books the boat controls what type of fishing it does. Smaller trips like kayaking to Tonsina, wait til you get there and go on a good weather day. Ask about the Pot Luck.”
