We stayed here for a few nights in late June. Very happy we stayed here as a great sourdough pancake breakfast started our day off right followed by a day exploring the Seward area. There were 3 of us and were very comfortable in the largest of the 3 rooms. They had very basic cable TV (which was fine), no... More

We're glad to have spent two nights here during our visit to the Kenai. The room and bed were very comfortable, allowing us to rest up from our hike and travels. A common area has a small fridge, microwave, and coffee/tea available. No internet (which was fine for our getaway). Richard's breakfasts were delicious, and we enjoyed our conversations with... The Sourdough Sunrise is a few miles from town on a quiet road accessible to all activities. 8.5 miles from the Inn is the base of the Exit Glacier... 1/2 mile away is the Seavy Iditarod kennel...both worth visiting. Richard and Sue have a true love for their B&B and for Seward as can be seen through their stories and... More

We stayed 3 nights in this B&B (room N3) and are very happy that we did. B&B is very conveniently located just outside Seward on a very quiet lot surrounded by forest. It is also very convenient for visiting Exit Glacier, but of course, you need to have a car if you decide to stay there. Our room was quite... More

This B and B is beautiful and away from the main drag. It is convenient to Exit Glacier and the main drag in Seward. It was quiet and a beautiful building. There are only 3 rooms. They are large and well appointed. There is a common area by the rooms with a refrigerator, microwave, teas, etc. and a lovely porch... More

Sourdough Sunrise is in a quiet location just outside Seward, convenient to the Exit Glacier in Kenai Fjords National Park. My husband and I spent four peaceful nights there in a large, clean, comfortable room with adjoining private bath. The three bedroom suites also share a family space with a kitchenette and a lovely balcony. The home itself is a... More

A very nice and beautiful B&B. It is well away from street noise. A lot of trees and bushes outside to feel remote, that was very great. Two of the rooms are very large, one room is a bit smaller. All are for the same price. Every room has its own bathroom. The rooms were very clean. The freshly prepared... More

Quality lodging in the great town of Seward. We loved the quiet of the place and the hospitality of the owners. Fine workmanship in building and woodworking. They are Alaskans and proud of it and want to provide a good experience for their clients.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in early October. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfy. We had two beds and a small sitting area with a love seat and a TV (which we did not touch). Richard, the owner, is a fine craftsman, and the house is beautifully built with amazing woodwork. We enjoyed the sourdough... More

Sourdough Sunrise is a one of a kind B&B! Both the outside and the interior of this building showcase Richard's talents as both a craftsman and an artisan. It seemed that every time we walked in the building, we noticed another special architectural feature that made it special. Our room was clean and comfortable and would easily accommodate 4-5 people... More
