My husband and I went to Hawaii for the first time for our honeymoon and I saw that Mango Sunset B&B received majority good reviews. We thought it would be neat and offbeat to stay at a B&B on a coffee farm and be away from the hustle and bustle of the town. We arrived in Hawaii around 9:30-10ish and...

This is too bad! The review sounds overall wonderful -- until our dear elderly guest got to where I made a mistake -- by cracking a (little) joke, when I said, tongue-in-cheek, that we'd hope that her profession would soon no longer be necessary.... This was within the first 5 minutes of meeting. I simply should not have assumed that...

Comfortable accommodations. Very peaceful. My wife and I have stayed at many BnBs over the years and this was the most delicious breakfasts we've had with many ingredients being grown on the farm itself. Would definitely stay here again when visiting the Big Island.

We stayed at Mango Sunset B&B for our week long stay on the Big Island. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the common area has great accommodations (Computer, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, refrigerator, beach towels, hammock and barbeque). The owners (Marsha and Hans) are extremely welcoming and offered us wonderful tips about places to go and things to do on...

While Mango Sunset bills itself as a B&B, you should know that it is a working coffee farm, and, as such, has much more of a feel a farm stay than a true B&B. To start with, the place is located in the Kona coffee belt at about 1,500 feet above sea level. This means that not only are you...

Of course we don't know what the guest's experience is with farm stay, but with those, you work. This guest traveled alone and stayed for 2 days. He had booked through a third party listing site, meaning, he had probably never been on our site. "To start with, the place is located in the Kona coffee belt". Sir, what do you...

We stayed at Mango Sunset last June (2013), and ay yai yai, what a disappointment. The owners were away so we were hosted by a couple of very sweet interns, no complaints there, but the place is just a dump. Old dirt in the shared bathroom, like fuzz on the walls and the light fixture kind of dirt, the kind...

Yes, we went on our first vacation in 10 years last June and never met those guests. This is the only complaint about that time when we had 2 long-term and trained interns in charge of the BnB. Arguing about the impressions these guests had would be pointless. However, some statements are factually wrong: NONE of the towels or bedding...

Having never stayed on a coffee farm this was a first for us! Finding the B&B in the dark was a bit of a challenge but we eventually found it and appreciated the secluded location. It is very quiet and much cooler than Kona despite being only about 10-15 mins away. We had a twin room with our own bathroom...

We stayed three nights and our son and daughter-in-law stayed two nights, having to leave before us to return home. This B&B is located on a working coffee farm and Hans and Marsha are very busy people, but they have organized their B&B to mesh well with their farming operation. The farm is located high on the western slope of...

Great place to stay with an incredible view. Innkeepers are fun and an amazing font of knowledge on coffee and everything else in the world. Water pressure and room fittings only fair to moderate, but highly recommended because of the great atmosphere.

We spent 3 lovely days with Hans & Marsha and enjoyed our stay. The food was wonderful and the sunsets spectacular. Their property is in a quiet rural area. The hosts are very knowledgeable and willing to share their information. The breakfasts were exceptionally good and they create a warm atmosphere for their guests. The coffee is great too !

My husband and I stayed at the Mango Sunset BnB at Lyman Farms for 2 nights. The BnB was full during the time we stayed. We really liked the "activities room" (with computer & TV), as well as the kichen access. Breakfast was fine, the first day was waffles, the second was pancakes (I heard the guy next to me...
