We were only able to stay a couple of nights but were VERY impressed with both the large size of our 1 bedroom unit and the lanai... and we have spectacular views of the ocean! If our unit was any representation of the average unit there then we HIGHLY recommend this property!

2nd wyndham stay on our 2 week vacation. Beautiful loct...nice size room w a view that's breathtaking!! Only complaint.....pool security lady!!! OMG redicolous. I get the covid thing... But she made is aweful for people to rnjoyt. She almost tackled us approaching the pool in the wrong gate that was unlocked.. then she watched our every move and others ..yelling at a poor elderly gentleman that had his towel on they chair next to him. Mind you...there were6 people in the pool area. At least 20 open chairs. then she came around and put signs on our chair saying they were occupied when clearly we were sitting in them.... these little signs kept blowing away and she kept coming back and putting them on our chairs even we were sitting in them. Several people came to the pool and left because of her. Otherwise everything was wonderful get rid of her

The Kona Coast Resort was a pleasant place to stay. They had amenities available but it all had to be by appointment on the week-ends. The lady security guard was very rude and seemed to feel the need to boss you around! We only used the pool once because of her constant monitoring and reprimands. The COVID restrictions were excessive. We know of people in other resorts that did not have as many rules and regulations to follow. They were able to relax during their time at the resort. I would stay here again but not during COVID. The restrictions made it difficult to enjoy the time at the resort.

Excellent location next to Kahalu'u beach, which is an excellent easy spot for beginner snorkelers like us! Also easy driving distance to downtown Kona and Two Step. Loved the full kitchen, the living room, the washing rooms and two bathrooms! We felt that we got a great deal for the price.

2 BR unit very spacious. Huge kitchen, plenty of space to stretch out. Would like to see the full amenities when not under COVID restrictions. No onsite restaurant wasn't as big an issue as we'd feared as the shopping center just up the hill covered all our needs. Still would have been nice to not always have to go off campus for food. So long as COVID is an issue, the staff was very conscientious about cleaning, spacing, etc. Final fyi, if you're not acclimatized to local climate, pay the extra for A/C. Your sleep will benefit.
