A great location with good views of the ocean. You won't be real close to the ocean, but can definitely see it from most of the condos.

There is a golf resort between this hotel and the ocean. You're not supposed to walk across the golf course.

Okay, so here's the real truth

Perfect resort, best location. Centrally located to the best sites and across the street from a grocery store, restaurants, and a trolley stop. Lovely condos. We came as a couple but it would be a great place for kids also!

We traded into this resort from our home base of New Hampshire, and we were very pleased. The unit had everything we needed and was very clean and presentable when we arrived. All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. The pool was delightfully clean as was the hot s

This resort was located close to beaches, amenities and the airport. We found it to be very relaxing. The big island offered beautiful botanical gardens, Volcanoe National Park and beautiful coastal drives.

Do you need to rent a car if staying here?
It is not close to the airport but if you intend to stay at resort, I suppose you can get a Taxi or Uber. But we rented a car since we explored the island, ate at different restaurants, did a lot of shopping, picked up groceries not far from the resort. Probably mostly everyone staying at the resort rented a car or Jeep.

Do we need to rent a car while there? The rentals seemed really expensive.
Yes, the resort is about 15 miles from air port. A car would be better than taxi fares every time you want to goout. Plus a ride around the island is beautyful. There is a restaurant on site, but others are a good 10 min. away. After you make a rental reservation, check on it every few days, costs fluctuate. Food at on site restaurant is very good. Hope I have been helpful.

Aloha. Is late check-in possible? We will arrive at 10:30 p.m. Also, I am wondering if there is a resort fee.
They used to have 24/7 desk service but in August they started closing earlier (11PM I think.) Best to call and ask! (808.322.8220 maybe? Or check website)
