Kind of surreal. Almost bombed out exterior and very communist looking lobby but rooms are somewhat renovated though also starting to show some age, probably from poor maintenance and shoddy interior construction work in the first place. Reminds me of a 3 star Chinese hotel in a provincial county level town, which I suppose Ruse is. Room itself is not bad. Bed is comfortable and ac works. Only got a floor 5 room but decent views of the Danube. Staying one night so didn’t bother to argue it. Another strange thing is no deadbolt on the door, so propped up a chair just in case. At night can only count 6 occupied rooms, but restaurant was full and I was rudely turned away. All in all a strange experience.

Was shocked upon arrival by the communist exterior look, but found it modern and lovely on the inside. Haven't experienced this anywhere else and I love what they have done with the place. The staff were really nice, got a free room upgrade and the room was very comfortable, with a nice view. Got free parking even to the end of the check-out day and the location is very good - close to the Danube promenade and reasonably close to the city center. You have the option to book the room even without breakfast, but the hotel restaurant was very good for dinner. Will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Ruse

When we arrived I was almost sorry to have booked a room in this hotel, it looks so outdated and horrible. However, the staff were really nice, we got a free room upgrade and the room was newly renovated, nicely decorated and comfortable. The hotel is really handy for downtown, only about 500 m away and offers free parking. The views are great. The only reason I am only giving 4 stars is the breakfast, which was a bit below standard, but I guess this is due to there not being a buffet because of Covid.

As it appears in the title, it does not appeal to you at all, a mastodont of 17 floors built at least 40 years ago with the architecture typical of communist buildings but once entered the hotel at least in the renovated areas and here I mean the reception and lobby bar , deluxe and executive double rooms, restaurants, look great. There are also non-renovated areas where I cannot decide where the standard double rooms are. I booked a deluxe double room on the 5th floor with a great view towards the Danube and the city, the beautifully furnished room, the upholstered walls equipped with everything needed for quality comfort. Impeccable linen and towels. Parking is free only for the guests of the hotel, both outside and in the garage, do not forget to check in to present at the reception the heel from the parking tax for validation and cancellation of the tax charged for parking. Panorama restaurant from the last floor, respectively 17 should not be missed, the pictures taken here on the city and the Danube being spectacular, about the menu of this restaurant I can not say that, it is very successful quite varied and not very cheap. The breakfast served at the mezzanine restaurant is not very varied but good. The hotel also has a spa area, conference rooms, terraces. The hotel is close to the pedestrian area of the city in maximum 15 minutes walking distance you are in the center. I recommend this hotel.

Overnight stop on train trip from `Bucharest to Sofia. Stayed in an ' Executive room ', it was all you could want with very comfortable bed and large modern bathroom and views over Danube. Evening meal in top floor Panorama restaurant, best meal of my holiday.
