We stayed whilst visiting family. The hotel was comfortable and well maintained. The breakfast area turns into a disco at night so it can get quite loud on the weekends. During breakfast times it also can feel a little 'sticky'. Food for breakfast is plentiful and simple. Cheese, cold meats and various pastries and fruits. Easy to get to however keep in mind that taxi's cannot drive straight up (because a large part of Aleksandrovska str is a paved mall) so there is about a 50-100m walk.

Lovely hotel and staff in Bulgaria. Heading to a AMA Waterways cruise and stayed on my own at this lovely hotel. Excellent location, nice downtown location with an awesome pedestrian path immediately outside the hotel. Many shops a close, great restaurant / café options that are very close. Would certainly recommend this hotel for business or holiday travelers. The breakfast was really good, lots of food options.

Staying in Ruse AND at the Vega was the right decision for us! The city itself has a great "feel".....could easily spend some more time here! We arrived in a rental car and parked around the corner in a handicapped spot. SO when irent/grent arrived to pick up the car at 5PM it was easy. We rented our vehicle on line.....thought it was Grent......but the company is irent...check them out. VERY professiuonal. Pick up inSofia...return in Ruse.....they came from Varna to pick up the car. BECAUSE hubby could NOT find the car documents, we were charged 175 BGN for the company to duplicate everything. HOWEVER...before checking out 2 days later...hubby found the documents !!! The front desk was AMAZING.....they called irent for us...irent REFUNDED our 175 BGN electronically to the Vega Hotel and the Vega deducted this from our bill. HOW's that for top notch service?????? As everyone says...the location on the pedestrian street is A+......our bed was comfy, but the blanket was too heavy for June. Good size suite......well maintained and clean! Two negatives: a strange entry with a GLASS door that is really dangerous......and the breakfast coffee and hot items are really terrible. otherwise, YEA to the VEGA! One more item: we found out about itransgroup on the TA forum.....front desk called for us...42 euros door to door Ruse to Bucharest.....use them.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's just off the main square on a pedestrian road. Lovely staff and room the room was very spacious. Bathroom was nice. Tv had enough channels in English for us all - even got to watch Wimbledon in English.
