This hotel is family run, and is the best we've ever stayed at! The food is plentiful, sourced locally and cooked with skill and flair (but if you want pizza and chips go elsewhere-the menu is Austrian, but then you are in Austria!). The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful, the rooms are very clean and the facilities are excellent. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

Austria is awesome! Bergland is a fabulous hotel and we couldn't recommend it enough if you want spotlessly clean and comfortable accommodation in the most picturesque and tranquil location with very, very good food. Thank you for a lovely week, looking forward to returning 😎

We have fallen in love with this hotel and staff ! They are the most sincere people you could wish to meet. The hotel operates in a relaxed pace which will suit those wishing to slow down the pace of life and relax . The reception is warm and inviting , all staff are professional and welcoming ... the room was clean and spacious , the food was varied and far better than we needed . The hotel sits in a quiet town nestling amidst mountains , it's all about hiking ! Ebikes and nature .
Fabulous week .
Thank you so much for a wonderful stay ...

This was the first time we returned to a holiday destination and we are glad we did! The food is out of this world. The cleanliness is spotless. The team are very helpful, friendly and caring.
Our boys were thoroughly spoilt with special food. They have gluten, dairy and soya intolerances!! My boys were even given chocolate pancakes in the picnic lunch hamper. Our two boys have told me I need to improve my cooking and quality and food we have at home as now they have a daily taste for venison, caviar, veal, sushi and pancake covered fish for example! I won't even detail the deliciousness of the exceedingly good cakes, pastries and desserts they had!
The two year old bathing lake was an unexpected daily highlight. We were unsure if it would be warm enough. However it was 22 degrees and we enjoyed seeing guests at the hotel's natural bathing lake at the end of each day. The lake's decking with sunbeds and surrounding gardens, complete with waiter service and free towels and bathrobes made the natural bathing lake a very enjoyable place to enjoy the afternoon sun.
I don't think the website does the hotel justice. We fortunately found our apartment lounge was not an extension of our bedroom but separate which made our Polvern Apartment even more enjoyable. We also were shown around the two Polven Suites and found that one of the rooms/suites did not have stairs. Also the one pictured with the stairs did have two full sized beds outside the bedroom at the top of the stairs.
Our boys also enjoyed the two trampolines and playarea, which I am not sure are mentioned on the website.
Finally, again we really enjoyed the location of the hotel. We loved the uninterrupted views of the mountains and countryside. We also think we benefited from the peace from being out of the town especially on the evenings when there was entertainment in the town centre.

Arrived on the Saturday afternoon, greeted by receptionist who wanted to tell us everything in one minute of every where to travel using the wilderkaiser card etc.
She was polite enough but could have waited until we had got to our room and freshed up after travelling from the UK. Seemed a bit rushed and too much info to take in after a long trip to get there.
Anyways, the hotel is spotlessly clean, the owners and the elderly gentleman who works there were so freindly and helpful, particular mention to the lady owner who was most helpful on our trip that we booked to Innsbruck. Our room though was quite small which was situated at the very top of the hotel, it had no balcony.
We booked through tui, which stipulates all rooms come with a balcony!
It was stiffiling hot in the room, we asked for a fan and the lady owner provided us with a fan after I requested one. It spoilt the holiday for us, being in a small hot room with a small window. Meals are ok and a good selection at breakfast. Austria is a very beautiful country and the hotel is in a good situation for visiting the tyrol region. The room did spoil it for us though.

We were on a package deal with Crystal and so transport was included. We searched this year for booking separately and found the transfer costs to be very high.
