Dear Miriam, Thank you for your evaluation and the detailed feedback as this definately takes some time to write. When we read you felt comfortable and enjoyed your holiday we see that the efforts we make are successful. It's great to hear the little language barrier from time to time didn't bother you or as we say: if everybody was the same it would be boring :) As you mentioned you hope to see us again we are looking forward to welcome you again some time. Greetings from the Glemmtalerhofingers.

Recently stayed at this wonderful hotel. Everything was excellent from start to finish. The hotel in the annex was small but spotless with a very good shower and towels were changed every day. Sauna, steam room and pool were fabulous.
The meals were the best quality and quantity

Dear HinckleyHutts, Thank you for your praising words. It's great to hear you feel this way about our hotel and staff. We are happy beyond all measures to see you enjoyed your stay here that much and we had the opportunity to be helpful to you to do so. About the restaurant we have to apologize a little bit as we have had such a warm summer, this has never happened before and we are already figuring out how to handle the heat up there if the weather gets this hot again but I'm sure we will have the solution prepared when you return again (to what we are already looking forward to). Greetings from Hinterglemm, The Glemmtalerhofingers

My wife and I had a great time. We booked with Inghams and stayed in the Pension Silvester. We had a typically Austrian room with great views from our balcony. The food and the staff were excellent and looked after us really well. The joker card gave us free access to the chair l

We came to Hinterglemm for our summer holidays in a very hot period with 2 kids.

Weakness of the hotel:
-laud during the night but overall starting between 5 or 6 in the morning, because of the tracks noises, delivering goods and collecting stuff, seriously, we could not sleep a

Dear ellylai, Thank you for your feedback, we are sad to hear that we did not match your imagination and would like answer to some points you mentioned. We are very proud of our kitchen and the food we serve. In terms of quality as you mentioned we only use fresh ingredients from as many local producers as possible, but tastes are different and we are known for our regional, down to earth cuisine which a lot of our regulars enjoy since the last 30 years. As for the rooms: We don't Photoshop or retouch any of our images considering the photos of our rooms so this is a complaint we can't really comprehend. When we read your description of the room correctly, you booked a "junior suite herz könig" and this category is nowhere described with two separated rooms, it would have been no problem to arrange a room in a category that would have fit your needs a little better if we had known so in advance. In our opinion the region has more to offer for families even with small kids than you can experience in a single week or even two and for hikes in the woods you should have plenty of options considering that nearly 60% of our mountains are covered with forests Maybe overall a full-grown family hotel would have been the better choice for you as we see ourselves as family friendly but we can highly recommend “Kinderhotels” or ”leadingfamilyhotels” to you as they are way more specialised than we are and they have members everywhere. We are happy you enjoyed at least some parts of your holiday here and hope you will find something next time that fits you better and wish you happy holidays for you and your family even if it won’t be in the Glemmtalerhof. Best regards Jörg Schnell, one of the Glemmtalerhofingers

hi we have just booked our hols in August and have just seen one review from a coeliac. Any more info would be great as my husband is gluten free
Hi, if we no it in advance gluten free is absolute no problem for us to cook. Have you mentioned it in your request? Otherwise it would be great if you could send us a short mail with your needs so we can plan and organize everything. We are looking forward to your visit and hope for a great weather for you as well. Greetings, the Glemmtalerhofingers

Thank you for your review. When we were at the hotel last year we too made our packed lunches from the breakfast buffet with foil, juice carton and cereal bar available. I thought that the hotel had discontinued this facility so was surprised to see that you had made up packed lunches. Was there an extra charge for this or does the hotel still allow guests to make up free packed lunches? I would be delighted if this is the case as it was so useful. Thank you.
Dear Mif, You are still allowed to pack yourself lunch at the hotel. It wasn't dicontinued and is still free. We apprechiate it when guests stay interested about what we offer and we will continue offering things that make your stay at the Glemmtalerhof more comfortable and try to allways think of new stuff to do so. Greetings from Saalbach Hinterglemm The Glemmtalerhofingers.

Hi.... what is the transfer time from airport to hotel please
It depends on the airport. Renting a car in one option - you can google to find prices, distance and driving time. You can also take a train to Zell-am-See: If you fly to Salzburg, the train will take about 1,5 hrs. If you arrive in Munich, you will take 3 trains with easy transfers. It took us about 6 hrs in total, including waiting time between the trains. The hotel minibus can pick you up from Zell-am-See train station (about 25 min drive).

Just wondering how much money to bring? How much are drinks ie. Glass of wine, Gin and tonic etc Thank you Trish
Hi Trish, cant remember exact prices but not expensive, probably cheaper than UK prices. I think our total bill for the week for two of us which included wine with dinner and the occasional glass of wine or coffee through the day was about £100. I can also recommend a lovely, large glass of aperol spritzer at the fish farm, if walking to or from Saalbach cost 4 euros.
