Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Excellent ski holiday. Hotel nicely located on the slope so can ski in and out. Rooms all clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. Evening meals also have the great buffet and a very sensible system of choosing you meal in the morning. Service excellent. Only small issue is reply to all my booking emails was in German and replies were using the web site so had difficult confirming the booking by email.

Set slopeside with easy access to lifts going in either direction, this hotel proved to be a great place to stay. Friendly staff, good food and very comfortable rooms. Spa area, particularly the sauna, could be a bit bigger but overall a lovely holiday.

We have stayed here on three occasions and have always been impressed by the friendly family welcome, the high standards of the rooms and public areas, the wonderful food offered at breakfast, during the day and in the evenings and the courtesy, friendliness and dedication of the staff to ensure that you enjoy your stay to the fullest. There is a small outdoor pool in the summer as well as a range of play equipment. The uni-cycle was a great hit this time. The Hotel Marten is situated towards the top end of the valley and out of the congested urban areas of Saalbach-Hinterglemm (which are minutes away by car). The Summer JOKER Card given to residents provides free access to the open lifts and buses, and discounts at other attractions.

This is a nice hotel in a good location with slope-side access.. It is basically ski-in/Ski-out, but you have to cross a small private road, then put your skis on. This place is just a little ways outside of the center of Hinterglemm, and you need a car if you want to go to and from (unless you are skiing there), but they have a nice underground car park that keeps your car out of the elements and gives you a reserve spot for your room. The staff was really nice, our room was huge and the restaurant was good. I highly recommend staying here if you have the chance

A family run hotel that’s perfect for a restful stay in the Hinterglemm-Saalbach valley. Situated in open countryside on the northern slope of the valley beyond Hinterglemm, the 4* hotel offers a friendly family welcome. The rooms are modern and well appointed, the spa and other communal facilities are impeccably maintained and breakfasts and dinners in the restaurant are guaranteed to please and excel your highest expectations. I have stayed twice and would readily visit again.

Visited Hinterglemm for 4 days and stayed in Marten hotel which is placed virtually on a ski slope. Just step out of the hotel and start skiing :) Hotel is nice and cousy, staff very kind and helpfull. Rooms were clean and tidy, would prefer a little bit bigger shower cabin. Food was excellent for dinner with good breakfast buffet. Recommended to visit esspecially for skiing holidays :)

The hotel is a little bit away from the hustle in Hinterglemm. So it is quiet but you need a car to come to Saalbach or Hinterglemm. The rooms are okay, a little bit small. Opening times of the spa area are very short. All in all a nice hotel.

Very nice hotel, situated in a beautiful setting. Neither too big nor too small. All important amenities in place including a wine cellar. Hotel food was delicious, but in case there's plenty of other choices nearby. Rooms are clean and spacious and all hotel staff is very helpful. We had a wonderful stay.

The hotel is - especially in the dining and breakfast room - very nice and designful furnished. Although we had a Juniorsuite it was not that nice. It was clean but unfortunately did not had the modern style we expected from the website. The dinner was good but again not the high quality we expected. We had two nights in a row Goulash however it was called different. Sadly we were not satisfied with the service at all. The waiters and the young lady at the reception were very kind! But so was not the manager. Although we asked twice for a late check out (for our sake even charged) we were told that it is not possible (side note: Check Out 11am, first possible Check In 3pm). Furthermore we had our dog with us. The dog was charged with 18€ per day but in return we received no additional service for him at all, e.g. dog bed or food bowl. My resume is, it is a nice and clean hotel with perfect connection to the slopes. Although there is need for improvement to fulfill the value for money.
