We booked through Crystal Ski. This was one of the cheaper options in Kaprun (great skiig area btw), but have to say we were not treated cheaply, and felt like the stay was really good value overall. We were not wanting for much, i can assure you. Firstly all the staff were friendly and helpful, warm and welcoming. They all seemed genuinely happy to see us and to make sure we were happy in our stay. While most of the staff were very young, they were kind, attentive, and always helpful. We stayed half-board, one vegetarian, and every night there was a veggie, meat, and fish option on the menu (which rotated every night). The salad bar was exceptional, and you were never left wanting. We ate out in town one night, and the food wasn't as good as in the hotel! The breakfast selection was also very good, with lots of fruit, cereals, yoghurts, breads, meats, and cheeses. It is simple, but wholesome and healthy. The Spa facilities are also really nice, and very welcoming after a long day on the mountain. They were also suprosingly quiet, which was lovely. There is an outdoor heated pool (which is devine after a long day), a jacuzzi, and two saunas. All spotlessly clean. There is also a nice lay down area, for quiet time in the Spa. The only downside was that the double room we got was quite small, but honestly perfectely adequate for two. The rooms were warm, and well-aired with big wide opening windows. I can't really fault the Sonnblick at all, and will defintely come back if skiing in Kaprun again. Also, we can attest that they have one of the best hot chocoates in Kaprun, as we tried a few places! Make sure you ask for the freshly whipped cream to top :-)

Staying at the hotel Sonnenblick along with a huge company party who have taken over all of the somewhat limited facilities in the hotel. Impossible to get into the bar and very noisy until the early hours.

Friendly personal approach with excellent breakfast, nice dinner and a range of good wines. Enjoyed the welness area and and the cosy bar. Service was very well perceived. Hotel is really close to the slopes and Kaprun city. Thanks to the owner and personel for the great vacation.

Comfortable and friendly family run hotel. Owners and staff, without exception, charming and helpful. Lovely, quiet bar area. Good Austrian style food; ample breakfast, mid-afternoon post-ski snacks and evening meal all great. Good wine list.

Stayed at Hotel Sonnblick for a second time (first time was in 2018). The hotel, it's managers and staff excel at providing polite, friendly and efficient service. The hotel is good for both families and couples. Very convenient location close to the new cable car and main shops. Great food for breakfast and dinner. A major upgrade of the hotel is apparently in the pipeline (over the summer), and I would be more than happy to visit again next winter season. Highly recommended!
