Cabin was basic on first appearance, but as we settled in there was everything we needed, including a corkscrew! Double bed, double pullout couch and a single bed in the loft. Great location for hitting Custer state park, a drive to Devils tower, or a visit to the Mammoth Site. We had a wonderful stay, with fantastic breakfast cooked up...

Spent July 12 to 16th at this cozy cabin about 12 miles south of custer. Our cabin was cozy with creaky floors that added to the overall experience. The best part of our stay was the delightful breaksfast chats with Cyndi and Stoney and their wonderful breakfast each day. Breakfast was yummy especially apple puffs that were delicious. Out in...

We traveled here from Illinois for our 10th wedding anniversary. Stony and Cindy we great hosts. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the touristy towns but close enough to get to all the attractions. Stony had great stories to share over breakfast and they both were very helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat....

My husband and I stayed here last year on our first trip to South Dakota. It was close to all the Custer State Park/Mt. Rushmore attractions, but far enough off the beaten path that you could see every star in the sky. They offer two identical cabins which have everything you need,(including everything my husband needed for his digital obsession)...

3 miles down a gravel road sits Cindy and Stoney's B&B. What a great bargain. The rustic log cabin is clean and inviting and sits in a very natural area backing on the National Forest. After a very long trip from Il, Cindy and Stoney greeted us with a big smile and made us feel welcome. Our puppy loved the...

If you are looking for a quiet rustic place to stay, then this is it. The cabins are comfortable with everything you need, including wifi. After sightseeing all day, we would come home to relax on the porch or the swing and their cat would come sit with us. The breakfasts were the best we had on our vacation because...

This place is wonderful. We went out for sturgis and didn't want to be in the crowds. It was way more perfect than we ever hoped for. Cindy and Stoney are such great people. They know exactly what not to miss seeing while you are there. The cabins are clean and stocked with everything you could possible need. Breakfast is...

If your after something off the tourist trail for your stay in the Mt Rushmore region then this place is perfect. Stoney and Cindy were the perfect hosts and we loved the hand built pine cabins made by Stoney himself. Cindy's homemade breakfast were delicious and there was no problem putting our hire car in their garage when an overnight...

Dear Stoney and Cindy: Wow we'd really like to thank you for the excellent B&B that you operate. For a family of 5 and a dog it's the perfect fit for us. Your location is convenient for many Black Hills attractions. Even if we were just to stay at the Double D alone the hiking/horse trails are more than sufficient...

From the moment we drove up, we knew we'd selected the right place to stay. Stoney and Cindy warmly greeted us and showed us the accomodations. The cabins were extremely clean and were well stocked with all of the necessities. The homemade breakfasts were fabulous and their advice was appreciated. It was peaceful and very relaxing and if you couldn't...

“The Double D has 2 identical cabins. Each cabin has a Queen bed, a pull-out sofa, and a loft with a twin. The bath has a shower with excellent water pressure. The AC unit easily cools the cabin. The kitchenette area includes a coffee pot, microwave, and basic cooking utensils. A gas grill is beside the porch.”
