Our family enjoyed our stay here. We had two queens and a pull out sofa with a patio overlooking a beautiful creek. Mountain style decor with top quality amenities. The Game Lodge was short walking distance to have our meals. The beds were very comfortable and the room and bathroom was clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful about things...

We drove to Custer State Park from Cheyenne and enjoyed the scenery a little too much and it was getting late. As a heavy mist descended it was a bit of a race against time to travel along narrow bendy roads, even if well sign posted to get to the Lodge. We got there in the dark and checked in...

The location is excellent - very convenient for everything in the park with wildlife at the door. Local store not well equipped but at least it was open. The rooms were rather gloomy, the food a bit "odd" (not sure what to make of it) and the tea positively cold. Free Wi-Fi but the quality of the connection was poor.

Will not come back. Yes, I am a bit of a hotel snob. Only to the extent that I expect a completely clean 'room' and one in which I am comfortable walking around barefooted or at least in socks. Stayed in the house keeping cabin #2. It is literally twenty paces from the highway (16A)....too close. Thought we would have...

We stayed in one of their cabins. It was very clean and the furnishings more than adequate. We could park right at the door. Maid service came around daily with any needed supplies. It was very quiet and a great location for driving the wildlife trail. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in the motel portion of the State Game Lodge for a wedding. Other friends stayed in cabins and I actually thought the motel portion was nicer and a better deal for the money. The only problem we encountered was regulating the heat at night. It didn't seem to stay consistent - which led to us getting too hot...

The State Game Lodge was a beautiful historic place to stay and made a convenient starting point to explore a wonderful State park. It also had a very good restaurant on the premises. I would recommend a room in the historic part of the hotel.

We stayed two nights at the State Game Lodge while visiting Custer. From there we visited the Crazy Horse Memorial, Deadwood, Mount Rushmore Memorial and the State Park through the Buffalo Safari. The room was small and reasonably clean. No air conditioning. We used the fan or the heater setting. Bathroom was small and tight. But it was a convenient...

We had a nice stay at the State Game Lodge. The Lodge itself is charming. Plenty of seats in various locations outside. The rooms were a little small for 3 adults with bags, but were fine. Our rooms came with a microwave and mini-refrigerator, which is nice if staying several nights and enjoying Custer State Park.

We chose State Game Lodge as we love historic inns. There are three places to stay, the main lodge, which is charming but noisy, the attached motel- like rooms (yuck) or the newest part, Creekside, a few hundred yards from the main lodge. We love our sleep, so that was our choice. Our room was large, with a small sofa...
