The Game Lodge has been my "go to" any time of the year within Custer State Park. It is rustic. It has a lovely gift shop. Great morning breakfast buffet and a historic dining room for the evening. The best part of the last trip was the 600 hundred head of buffalo wandering through the grassy area in front of...

The restaurant menu selections are limited, pricey, and takes forever; therefore, opt for the buffet, if you must eat here. Our waitress was slow taking/filling our orders and curt to the point of being rude.

I don't no where to start, Very noisy rooms meaning we could here every flush ,foot step, cough from other rooms. And the cars that drove by. Cleanliness is not a top priority . Dust on the head boards. Most important was what appeared to be mold on the wall in the bathroom just below the fan the very noisy fan....

I love staying at the Game Lodge. The best compliment I can pay is that it is easy to stay here. The staff is always helpful and pleasant. The accommodations are comfortable and I always feel at home. You do pay more for the location, but where else can you open your window in the morning and watch 300 buffalo...

This was hotel #6 of our Globus tour. Our room was excellent, the included dinner and buffet breakfasts were great, and this was the first place where we did a load of laundry; however, the laundry machines are in a separate building and a bit of walk from our room (one also has to watch for animal land-mines when one...

This was our second stay in a Game Lodge cabin! It was very nice. The cabin had two queen beds and we utilized both because one side of each was against a wall. In younger years, that would work, but not so much now.😃 The room included a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee pot. Dining at the lodge is excellent with...

We stayed here one night and enjoyed it very much. Nicely decorated and clean rooms. The location can't be beat. There were numerous buffalo wandering close by and we enjoyed them from the safety of the deck of the Lodge. We had breakfast in the morning here. If you're hungry, the buffet is a decent deal.

We stopped after the wildlife loop of Custer State park. We loved the ambience. It had quite the history but super kept up. The gift shop and art gallery was top notch but small. The server was excellent. We just missed the lunch buffet but off the menu had the four of us enjoying a variety. One of us had...

I have stayed at this property several times. The most recent time, we stayed in the newly renovated rooms at the motor Lodge as well as one night in the 20 person Tatanka cabin with friends. First, check in is a little slow, but there are plenty of things to look at to keep you occupied. People are fairly friendly...

The Lodge is located quite some distance outside of Custer and a lack of public transport makes it difficult to go for a night out in Custer itself unless you have a designated driver. However, the location itself is beautiful, surrounded by well kept lawns, forest and park land plus its own creek. It is very convenient for the Wildlife...
