A wonderful experience to stay in this beautiful room open to the lake view. Willy and Mayra were excellent hosts and we had great food in the restaurant. Quiet, with picturesque view and swimming in the lake. Much nicer place to stay than Flores.

We had a great time at Posada Del Cerro! Both the place and the personnel made it one of our favorite stay in Guatemala. Very quiet, on a nice hill, beautiful wood structures, confortable room, friendly and hepful people made our 3 nights there very special. Maya and Willy do a wonderful job. We would have stayed longer if we could have. El Remate is quiet and away from the noise of Flores. A great choice for families. It was a wonderful place to stay and the food was excellent.

At best this is a 2 star hotel, more a nice backpackers hostel at hotel prices. First a few good points. This small hotel has a peaceful setting up the hill, overlooking Lake Peten across the road. The breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Dinner was good. The filtered water refill tap in sitting area very welcome. The sitting...

We planned two days but stayed longer because Posada Del rooms, staff, and grounds were amazing. We rented a car and drove in from Belize to see Tikal at our own pace, a good decision, despite the 4-5 hour drive and including the hourlong border experience. However the Posada Del was the main attraction rivaling Tikal. First the rooms were...

A calm, cosy lodge in beautiful surroundings. Excellent swimming in the lake (though a small pier might make it even better). Helpful staff making the stay even better. The not to be missed ruins of Tikal are less than an our hour away. Recommended!
