Amazing hotel!! For our first trip to New Orleans, this was a perfect hotel for us. Quiet at night, easy 15 minute walk to the French Quarter, and beautiful inside and out. I loved l the art hanging on the walls, and the super friendly staff!

This hotel was one of the most enjoyable stays I have had in a long time! I truly loved the vintage decor and local artwork; it made my room and the hotel feel more "homey". My room and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely return!

First, but not last time to NOLA. I will not even entertain staying anywhere else. My wife and I loved the "vibe" of the place, proximity to everything, and the food was incredible. If they had a rooftop bar, we may have never left, but Hot Tin is only a couple stops away on the St Charles line. Let the...

The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved this hotel. It is definitely not a typical chain hotel. The front desk staff were friendly. The valet employee was awesome! Nothing but compliments for the staff. The only complaint would be a little better housekeeping is needed. The beds were crisp and clean but the floors needed to be...

I booked via Priceline and paid extra for a king bed and received confirmation of this. When I showed up at the hotel the only room available was a double (my boyfriend is 6ft 5" and a big guy! It's no fun sharing a double with him!) I would not have booked this hotel had I known we would only...

I stayed here with my cousin for a conference. It was the perfect distance from the conference center and the Quarter. The rooms are very cool and artsy. I liked that you could opt out of daily housekeeping (in the name of eco-friendly practices) and for each day you do, they offered minibar credits. The only draw back was that...

We thought the rooms were extremely clean and quaint for an old building. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was close to all the attractions that we were interested in seeing. We felt the price was reasonable and the value high.

The Old No. 77 is a beautiful hotel filled with charm and history, but it lacks in some quality. Pros: great location (walking distance to French Quarter), charming furniture and artwork, lovely local artwork and goods you can purchase in the lobby, fantastic restaurant in the hotel, everyone was friendly and helpful Cons: it's an old warehouse, so it creaks...

Great rooms, great character, great staff, great location! I can't praise Old No. 77 Hotel enough....ALMOST perfect. Just really missed having a window to the outside...which wasn't made clear when I booked the room that there was no external window in my room. It requires an upgrade. I highly recommend this hotel, next time will be sure to get my...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
