I was just in town for one night but it was nice. The staff were friendly and gave great directions to nearby eateries. I was not able to enjoy everything since I was there for business but I do plan to return.

My wife and I returned to New Orleans after a 4 year absence. We sometimes forget how much we love New Orleans. We're too old to do the "Bourbon Street" thing and we love that the Warehouse District is now so vibrant and has so many great places to eat. The Old No. 77 is in a great location where...

The room was huge and comfortable. I love the decor in the room and throughout the hotel and Compere Lapin in the lobby is delicious. My favorite is getting a fresh empanada in the lobby from the restaurant's bakery/snack bar. The location is perfect for exploring french quarter and also a good outlet to uptown.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! From the incredibly comfortable bedding to the modern decor, we felt right at home in the suite. The staff was so welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. Tout La's coffee was also excellent! The location is perfect - only a short walk to anywhere in the Quarter or a quick Uber to the...

I've been staying here since it was The Ambassador. The remodel is nice. The rooms are clean and mostly comfortable (the air conditioning wasn't as effective as I'd like). Compere Lapine, the restaurant, is top-notch. The menu changes from time to time, which is great (always something new!), so no sense in recommending what I ate this time, but the...

Excellent place to stay! Great service. Clean rooms. Exceptional character. I'm in New Orleans every other month and always choose to stay here. Great part of town to stay. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance. Also close enough to walk into the French Quarter.

Restaurant and coffee shop were INCREDIBLE! Location to all of the sights and streetcars was even better than expected. Staff was a little inconsistent in their attentiveness to the few issues we had.

The hotel is wonderful. It's clean, industrial, and very unique. The issue we had was that our room faced the Barcadia next door and it was so loud (music and crowd outside on street) until approx. 2am. I had earplugs in and could still feel the bass and hear the noise. I wanted to love the property and did love...

Overall, a very cool place to stay. Restaurant and Staff are great and high-energy. The rooms are well detailed and laid out. My room was interior and only had a shaft out the window plus the lights were too soft. Get one with a window and New Orleans is yours to enjoy!

Just arrived in New Orleans after a long Amtrak journey and what a disappointment this hotel is. The decor is something you will either love, or not love, and I'm afraid I'm not a big fan of the very 'basic' feel of the rooms. Bare floorboards splashed with paint, grey floor tiles in bathroom also splashed with paint which makes...

I will work with our housekeeping team to address the issues you had with the cleanliness of the floor in your room. I would love it...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
