I love this hotel. It has so much character and the staff is stellar. They are warm and helpful - 100% NOLA way (thank you Raven, Sean and Janea). When I was checking out, Chery of housekeeping walked my forgotten phone down before I left. So grateful. The rooms are older, with high ceilings, brick and wooden floors. The bar and restaurant are beautiful. This is not a big chain experience, it’s a staying with locals experience. I couldn’t have enjoyed it more. Location is great as well. Not in the middle of the FQ, but an easy walk to get there or to CBD restaurants. You’ll hear the celebrations outside but you’ll feel like a part of the life.
We visited New Orleans for the first time and were so excited for our stay. The hotel was perfect for what we needed and we had no issues with staff or our room. Due to Winter Storm Mara we were unable to return to Austin as planned, and flights were repeatedly cancelled. We ended up able to keep our room and add a couple extra nights overall with trip delays. The staff were welcoming and extremely helpful, especially Will on overnight staff, the barista, and daytime receptionists (I unfortunately cannot recall their names at the moment.) The artists and featured throughout the hotel were eye catching and we enjoyed them (pictures included.) We highly recommend staying here, we appreciated that it was a bit away from the French Quarter and therefore quieter. We will be coming back!…
The location was great and Raven at the front desk was very helpful. Unfortunately, we picked wrong for our needs. The rooms are very bare bones in terms of no mini fridge, no comfy chair and no window view. I love the old warehouse look, however the floor is very creaky so if you're a light sleeper, that could be a problem. One more thing; the parking garage affiliated with the hotel is several blocks away. Of course you can unload and then park but it's best to be aware of it first. My husband is an early riser and there is no coffee in the room or even in the lobby until something like 7:30am. I was also surprised there is no housekeeping each day. That is not a game changer, however I guess it's something I enjoy.
This is a lovely hotel. The staff were the most friendly and helpful people I met while in New Orleans. Thank you to all of you. The bed was also extremely comfortable! There is also an excellent restaurant with equally wonderful staff and great food.
Very much enjoyed my stay here, will definitely be back. The front desk staff were incredible and helpful, location was great, loved the coffee bar in the lobby, rooms were clean and the shower was fabulous.
This hotel was amazing! Great location, wonderful staff, cool interior and perfect room! I stayed with my friend for 3 nights, and I have nothing but amazing experiences! I will stay again with my husband next time!
I felt like I was staying in a motel…poor cleanliness, barebone room, window facing a brick wall. Also, the weird artwork and leather straps on the bedframe were giving super creepy vibes. I’ve stayed in historical hotels before and enjoyed the character, but this was a rundown and poorly taken care of hotel…or at least my room on floor 4 was. The only upside of the hotel was the delightful restaurant on the 1st floor, by the lobby.
Great Service! They treated a client the way you’re supposed to be treated from the beginning of the hotel. The best dirty chai latte’s around town in the hotel lobby. The paintings on the wall are great.
LOOK OUT! Not For Light Sleepers. We asked to change rooms because of the AC making noise. I went to the front desk to say I’m a light sleeper and it would keep me up. Maintenance came up to check on it to say we need a room w/a different AC unit. Went to the front desk, they were sympathetic & gave us a diff room. However, the room was next to housekeeping’s closet & the elevator. This was in no way a resolution. We decided to suck it up. It sucked alright. We heard not only everyone outside our door but heard every single step taken upstairs, every roll of their luggage & every step they take. Top that off with hearing the guy upstairs THROWING UP & his significant other scolding him for it! Additionally, this place is not a resort & they charge a resort fee. I live in Florida and know what a resort is. I will not ever recommend or return.…
Great hotel for the price! Beautiful older hotel close to everything! The only negatives were no in room mini fridge or microwave. Positives were restaurant and Café in lobby, close to Canal Street, comfortable and quiet.
