Main issue: the breakfast area is in the center of the open style hotel on the 3rd floor. We were woken up by clanking dishes wayyy too early! (And we were on the 7th floor!!!) Stayed at many Hyatt's and this ones pretty much like all the others. Friendly staff, decent rooms, nothing fancy. A good 20 walk to the...

We stayed in this hotel just one day before we drove back to Texas on the way from Biloxi, Mississippi . The location is across the street from River front and cruise terminal so it is very convenient for cruiser to spend a day or two before cruise. But it is a 15 minutes walk to French Quarter, so if...

Nice location close to Riverwalk malls and 10 minutes to French Quarter. We enjoyed the view from the 8th floor. From the moment we checked in we were so impressed with the courteous staff. Love the tranquility of the area to wind down after a NOLA day activities

We stayed here for 2 weeks in Dec 16/Jan 17 on an extend vacation to NOLA. The hotel has a great location, friendly and helpful staff, and has been renovated fairly recently. The downside is that the Breakfast is not set up to handle the volume of people who are staying here the hours are too short and there are...

My fears about booking a hotel away from the French Quarter was well put to rest when we checked in. The hotel has spacious rooms, provides a decent breakfast included in the price, is within walking distance of downtown New Orleans, close to the cruise terminal and shopping outlets. Service from the front office staff and concierge is to be...

We booked a Norwegian cruise and drove from St. Louis to New Orleans the day before. We stayed at the Hyatt and it was perfect. We had a corner room for our family of 5 and it was very spacious. The staff was more than helpful and we were right across the road from the cruise pier. If you stay...

My parents and I stayed for 4 nights. We were on floor 7th. Good: -hot breakfast with plenty of options. In addition, Fruits, yogurt, juices, etc. I will recommend you get there before ~8:30am since it gets busy and there are a lot of families (therefore less tables/chairs to seat). -location is ~20min walk to start of french quarter. Right...

We stayed here one night before boarding a cruise out of New Orleans. We loved the location- we were able to just walk 5-10 minutes to the terminal. Also, you can walk just a few minutes to the mall, which has a few restaurants. We did the cruise package and received parking throughout our cruise, so that was nice as...

Staying in Arts District / Warehouse District

Neighbourhood Profile
Arts District / Warehouse District
Once a thriving industrial zone, today this district is home to a buzzing arts scene with an amazing assortment of galleries, boutiques, and studios having moved in and set up shop throughout the disused warehouses for which the area is so well known. Much of the art you'll come across here is local in scope, ownership and inspiration. However, among the many old brick warehouses are modern structures of steel and glass housing large-scale cultural institutions of national prominence such as the National World War II Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Just as eye catching as what’s on view inside the galleries and museums is the chance to see your ship come in at the Julia Street Cruise Terminal, which serves as a wistful reminder of the city’s historic maritime prominence.

“One away from the breakfast area which would be all the rooms around the inner balcony area looking down on the dining room. You can hear dishes clanging and talking etc. about 6:30 a.m. This didn't really bother us as we were getting up soon any way but had we wanted to sleep in it would not have been pleasant.”
