Clean, friendly, great location. Plus a nice breakfast, comfy sheets and comforter. I highly recommend. I have stayed a total of 10 days here and would stay again. Its within walking distance to French Quarter and many museums. I feel safe staying here and its very quiet.

Our first room had a strange odour - staff moved us as soon as we raised it and the next room was fine but a little noisy as it was by the elevators and our fellow guests seemed to think we would enjoy hearing their conversations! Breakfast was included in the very reasonable rate

The hotel itself is lovely...great rooms, great location, buffet breakfast with everything and it is very well kept. The only downfall is the lack of customer service we experienced. My friend and I spoke to the concierge desk a few times during our stay and every time we were treated like we we being an inconvenience, even when checking in...

Most other hotels just walking distance from La Quinta were considerably more expensive. Perhaps they have more amenities and a better breakfast buffet. But I'm not one who cares much about amenities and hotel breakfast. I'm in a city I've never before visited, I'm not going to spend all day and night in the hotel. I'm in a city that's...

Very nice large suite, close enough to French Quarter, Canal, Casino, and restaurants without street noise. Vallet was somewhat slow during checkout, but without issue during the evening hours. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

We made a reservation. When we arrived we found out we had to pay $30 to have our car valet parked for one night. I was not told this on the phone and did not catch it on the website before making the reservation. Also was told at check-in we had to walk two blocks to a dog park with...

I recently traveled to New Orleans for a conference with some sightseeing tacked on. The conference hotel was sold out but La Quinta was reasonably priced and within walking distance. Pros: Large, nicely furnished room with a fridge. The hotel offers complimentary breakfast and is in a highly convenient location for sightseeing. Cons: room was not thoroughly cleaned (eg., we...

It is nice to find a reasonably priced hotel close to the central business district, French Quarter, Court houses and River. The hotel is clean and kept up well. The staff is friendly. They accept La Quinta points which can make your stay free. Of course they have their usual breakfast in the morning in the building. I will always...

My fiancé and I, and our nephew stayed here one night on our way to Florida. It was the night before New Years Eve so it was very busy. This hotel is right next to the French Quarters and Bourbon Street. It is smack dad in the middle of anything you could want to do in New Orleans. It did...

Clean, comfortable, a favorable rate and close to some of the beest dining in New Orleans. Especially enjoyed the ease of parking service, which along with the reasonable hotel room pricing for this area, was a very pleasant surprise. Property is located across from one of the best small cafes in NOLA, Commerce Cafe, and within walking distance of Mother's...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
