Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Down town New Orleans for 3 nights before boarding the Norweigien dawn for a 7 day cruise. Hotel not too far out of center of downtown New Orleans 10-15 min walk - rooms a good size - sink in a weird place by the bed. Shower was good - room location not great next...

I arrived early, but within the hour I was able to check-in. Keywanda was quick to great me when I walked in and got me all setup to check-in early! Quiet stay with comfortable bedding. Great location to walk to Willa Jean and Company Burger!

Stayed there for a week at the beginning of January. Great hotel, friendly staff, free breakfast each morning. The room was small but clean and had a coffee machine and microwave oven. The hotel also has 2 PC's in the lobby. Very useful for printing tickets or booking tours. More importantly, the French Quarter is about a 10-12 minutes walk from...

Was not helped right away when I came in to check in. Felt like an afterthought as a customer--there's definitely room for improvement in regards to making the customer feel welcome. I don't get why counting coins is more important than helping a customer check in. Rooms were clean.

It's only a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter which makes it nice if you want some peace and quiet at night. The staff was courteous, and professional! The hotel was clean and check-out was a breeze. Looking forward to staying again in the fall when we come back to watch a Saints Game!!

Ryan at the front desk had the best customer serviced skills ever for any hotel I have stayed at. The room was very clean. Great business trip and the people working here make your stay very comfortable.

I stayed here for most of a week while attending a conference at the Hyatt. Breakfast was typical Holiday Inn Express and was hot each morning. Fruit and milk was fresh. There were enough tables and chairs so we didn't have to wait or take our meal to our room. Loved the big screen televisions so I could watch the...

We always look to stay with Holiday Inns because they have one of the best reward programs out there. This hotel is pretty conveniently located too- only a few blocks away from Canal Street where we would take the street car to the French Quarter. The room we booked for our family of four was small, but that's too be...

This hotel is a total management screw up! We took a lot of time and care to pay in full for a recruit for our clinic --> one month in advance of the visit we filled out all their paperwork, provided copies of our ID and credit card multiple times because employee turnover🙄, emailed half a dozen times to insure...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
