If you are in NOLA for the party may I suggest the Royal Sonesta. The hotel has a great location on Bourbon Street and is a god send when trying to stumble back to your hotel at 3am. We booked our room through a 3rd party discount agent and wasn't given the best of rooms but none the less the...

We reserved our room on line with credit card. Left message that we would arrive between 11 pm and 12 am. Arrived around 11:35 pm, checked in and learned they had no room for us. We were offered a sofa bed until we could speak with an assistant manager in the morning. The manager happens to be on vacation until...

We stayed for a girls weekend during French Quarter Festival. The hotel was close to the action but our room facing the courtyard was generally very quiet. Staff was very responsive to all of our needs, and we had a great time hanging out at the pool and enjoying the bar and grill there.

The staff was out of this world. Derrick and folks at Front desk had every answer to every question. The folks working in Club on Seventh floor: Patricia, Brandy, and Darin Stearns made our time at the Royal and in New Orleans the very best. Personality, attention to detail, and making one feel genuinely welcome was felt every day at...

We wanted an adult getaway just for the 2 of us, and we got it! The hotel is in a PERFECT location right on Bourbon Street. We ate breakfast in our room twice, and ordered late night pizza twice, and all of it was GREAT! The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the staff was friendly and attentive. LOVED the...

This is a great hotel. The location is excellent, if you don't have a room facing Bourbon Street, due to the high noise level. Professional staff, good restaurant, very nice pool, and comfortable room. All the amenities one needs.

The Royal Sonesta was a great place to stay and play on Bourbon Street. We paid extra to have balcony view and it was all that we expected. Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
