We had a balcony room which was lovely and well appointed. Please note that we knew going in that noise would be an issue so we brought ear plugs. But we were not prepared for the onslaught of sound. In the morning it's delivery and trash trucks for hours. And the noise from partiers (peaks on weekends) doesn't quit til...

The room was again excellent, with a nice breakfast every morning and the staff in the lounge, for the housekeeping as well as by breakfast were very kind and helpful. And of course we enjoyed being at Patrick’s Bar Vin where we had nice moments with Patrick, his bartenders and especially Patrick has always my preferred Belgian beer ‘Orval’. Thanks...

Beautiful hotel, great location, service and quality not what it used to be! Bed quality horrible! Breakfast great. Bathroom was not cleaned as I would expect. Three small drawers for 6 days and a small closet. Paid for the best room; just below a suite; not worth it. Great hotels in the Quarter; lot of competition. Just disappointed this was...

We spent 4 nights recently at Hotel Mazarin and had a wonderful time. Any issues were promptly taken care of. To start, we had an early arrival and the room was not ready, as we expected. It was easy enough to store our luggage and start our day. We were graciously greeted by the doorman, Solomon, and George at the...

The hotel was conveniently located and all the staff very welcoming. The location of our room, which we requested, was granted. I have already recommended this hotel to my friends. Will definitely stay at the Mazarin again!

Very clean and beautifull hotel. Excellent located between bourbon and royal street. We had a room facing the courtyard and we had no noise at all. Good breakfast and very stylish rooms. Maybe on the pricy side but it was worth it.

My wife and I stayed at the Mazarin for 5 nights last week and found it to be a nice hotel in a location which puts you close to everything while still providing the ability to get away from the noise and crowds when you want. Hotel and room had lots of luxury touches and we enjoyed the high quality...

Old works charm. Comfortable and quiet rooms. Walking distance to all galleries and restaurants. Loved our room on the 2nd floor with a patio. Pretty court yard for afternoon drinks. Nice friendly staff.

Loved that the hotel is not on Bourbon ST. But it is close enough. Enjoyed having the free breakfast buffet available everyday. I liked having access to the fitness center and the business center. In the evening, the courtyard was a beautiful relaxing sight to come to.

The Hotel Mazarin is the more classically presented house to its contemporary sister, Hotel Le Marais. It is located about 1/2 block from Bourbon- there is some noise but not excessive . Excellent front desk service. The hotel has a 5 story interior courtyard with all room entries facing the courtyard. Ours was a medium sized room and bath that...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
