We stayed in one of the larger rooms off main courtyard. The decor had a Parisian flair. Bed was comfortable and extra space welcomed. Bathroom is large with shower and toilet in separate area. I liked that we could shut the doors between bedroom and bath. Floors are tiled but slippers are provided. Rooms were spotlessly cleaned every day. One...

Two blocks from Canal St. trams and buses, around the corner from Bourbon St., and surrounded by fine dining restaurants, we found this to be an ideal location. Easy walk to Jackson square and other French Quarter locations. No need for car here. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Hot breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, waffles) was excellent, and with...

Lovely old hotel perfectly positioned in the heart of the French Quarter in walking distance to most things. Lovely rooms - one criticism is that at the price point feel that paper and plastic cups in the room not good enough and no choice of beverages - coffee or nothing. Breakfast okay but not exceptional. Staff helpful. The Jazz Club...

This was a great place to stay at during our week in New Orleans. We were just a few minute away from the action, yet it was quiet. The room as well as every nook at the hotel were clean and the ambiance there was amazing. Breakfast was delicious and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.

Great location, nice rooms. But there is no insulation between your room door and the hall/walkway. You can hear everything! Hard to sleep well with all that, but who goes to N'Orleans to sleep 😉 Its also lacking a pool or hot tub but if that's not important to you, this place is great. Just a block off Bourbon street,...

Our 5 night stay was a terrific one. Located between Royal and Bourbon the hotel is in easy walking distance of both Jackson Square and Canal Street. We really appreciated the complimentary hot and cold breakfast to get our days off to a quick and easy start. Our standard room was large, attractive and immaculately clean. All of the staff...

Stayed at the beautiful Hotel Mazarin for a family members wedding. Hotel was very ornate and has a certain type of old world charm including the beautiful painting of a Cardinal in the lobby. The front lobby is quite small and can become cramped when checking in, however the room we stayed in was spacious with two comfortable queen beds...

My comments are all positive, except for the fact that my room did not have a comfortable chair on which to sit. This deficiency should be corrected. Otherwise, the hotel, the staff, the breakfast, and the convenience were all excellent.

Great New Orleans hotel in the perfect location between Canal and Bourbon Street. Within walking distance of Jackson Square, very close to the casino. Very friendly staff, complimentary breakfast was good.

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
