Arrived after a very long flight and was told check in was 4:00 ....I had asked expressly for early check in....we were staying on the concierge level waited almost three hours before our room was ready....the high tea was very poor with dried out sandwiches and very mediocre cookies...we finally get to our room and the complimentary wifi would not...

Las week i took the family for a short spring break in NOLA. We have been to New Orleans about 3 times in the last year. I have stayed at several hotels including the Ritz Carlton (Which I reviewed previously). While I would till rank the Ritz as the best name brand luxury hotel with a fabulous club level, the...

I've been to NO many times and this was my first time at Windsor Court. I knew of its great reputation and was not disappointed. My room was well appointed and comfortable. Service was excellent and location very convenient to meetings and restaurants.

Hubby has a bad back from so many years of running so now our choice of hotels is based on those with a stationary bike with a back, called a recumbent bike. So I called the hotel and spoke with a woman in the spa who assured me they had one before I made the reservation. Much to our surprise...

Although centrally located and aimed at the luxury market, this hotel is in need of an update. Service is good, but attention to detail is spotty. Our room had not been carefully cleaned and the carpeting was worn and appeared dirty. For the heat and humidity of New Orleans, this hotel's décor is overpowering. Food was good, particularly for our...

Dear TravelRitz, Thank you for your recent stay and for taking the time to share your experience. I am happy to see that, overall, our staff provided good service during your stay. On the other hand, it was disappointing to learn that cleaning service was not consistent with our standard of giving attention to details and I hope you can...

When I booked a family trip, the Windsor Court looked very good online. We were not disappointed. The location just outside the French Quarter, near the river, and within walking distance of the WWII National Museum was excellent. Our rooms were very nice. One small heads up about 517, the balcony is abutted by a high wall and roof with...

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. I have to say they are very pleasant from the phone operators to the front desk, housekeeping, bellmen and concierge. we came into town for our 10 year anniversary and requested a King Bed, early check-in and a riverside view. All of which were accommodated. The room is very big...

We visited New Orleans last summer and booked the Windsor hotel following a friend's recommendation. It must have been a while since he visited, the rooms don't look nearly as nice in person. The furniture was stained and threadbare. At the time, the bar was being renovated, so maybe that was the first of their many projects. I don't know....

This hotel was highly rated on Tripadvisor and it didn't disappoint: Good location between the French Quarter and the CBD. Great atmosphere with impressive furnishings and fittings. Excellent service. Huge bedroom and bathroom. One of those hotels that pays close and unyielding attention to the details, and the results are clear. Couldn't fault it.

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
