I spend 100+ nights per year in all levels of accommodations and maintain status with Marriott and Hilton.Additionally I've been traveling to NOLA regularly for 17 years. However honest, I wish my review was more positive... The Good Stuff First: Location and security of property is excellent. All interactions with the many bellman were friendly and professional. Heavenly bed/bedding was...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

My wife and I recently stayed here for 3 nights on a little weekend getaway. Although we had a little trouble deciding where we wanted to stay, we were confident that we made the right choice. We had a large corner "work out" room that we absolutely loved. It was more than spacious and had a large flat screen TV,...

We spent 5 days at this hotel. I think the property is lovely and the location is great. I was disappointed in a few things. The rooms are large, and there were 3 of us, so we requested 2 beds. Not sure I've ever stayed in a 4 star hotel that had double beds, instead of queen sized, and the...

Our room was on 17th floor with a view of the river. Great room - king size comfortable bed. Pierre, the Concierge was the most helpful Concierge I have ever had. He ensured he provided us with very specific recommendations on restaurants, and sites to visit. He followed up with us to ensure we were satisfied with his recommendations. The...

We don’t usually stay at a Westin. Quite candidly, they are very nice, but just too expensive for my budget. I am more of a Best Western, Comfort Inn, and Hyatt Place kind of guy. I just want a nice clean room that is inexpensive. I want a simple complimentary breakfast with hot foods and hit the road. To my...

Stayed here during French Quarter Fest for two nights. The room had a great view. The low rating was due to poor service from the concierge. Most requests made by phone were not answered after multiple attempts. Room service was just okay. Other than the hotel service the location was perfect to get to any of the major attractions.

It was a fantastic trip for my husband and I. We got upgraded to a suite( we had paid for a king suite but got upgraded to a much much bigger suite with a sitting room). They found out it was our anniversary and the young lady sent us champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. Linens were nice and fresh and...

Stayed here for 2017 French Quarter Fest, which happens almost out the front door. Spacious rooms with big views, as clean and proper as any ack hotel room in a city that has 11 million guests a year, as does New Orleans. I have stayed in many places over many years visiting New Orleans, and the Westin is a good...

Recently stayed at the Westin. I thought the front desk staff were extremely nice and friendly. Before placing me in a room, they reviewed my preferences and actually indicated they were trying to find me a room on a high floor, away from the elevator that did not have a connecting door. I was shocked that someone actually read my...

I travelled there for a wedding and was incorrectly charged for 3 rooms (I only had one) on my debit card, totaling almost $2,000. When I called to complain, everyone seemed apologetic - then told me it would be 3-5 days before I could get my money refunded. Spoke to two managers who would "look into it" and haven't heard...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
