Multiple times asked for more towels or more ice bags for the ice bucket (due to a leg injury that needed icing) and was told they would be "right up" and never showed up. Laundry was lost for several days and we were still charged for it. Internet was often unavailable. But it was in a convenient part of the...

Very nice hotel in a great location to everything in the French Quarter. Royal street is very nice with lots of art galleries and shops. Very close to Bourbon street, St. Louis Cathedral and Jackson Square. Staff were all very pleasant.

Stay Here! It represents the history, culture, sincere love of people that is New Orleans...unbelievable stay. Attention to detail and constant smiles make it easy to feel right at home. Close to everything, just walk, eat, enjoy the French Quarter.

Hotel Montelone is magnificent. Staff is extremely helpful, very energetic and attentive. This hotel has such grandure and beauty that I whole heartedly recommend staying. The Carasouel Bar is its own entertainment. I could just sit and admire for hours. The location couldn't be better in relatiion to all the French Quarter has to offer.

My husband and I were in New Orleans for one night because he had a Saturday morning meeting and we wanted to celebrate our anniversary that Friday. I chose Hotel Monteleone because of Spa Aria. We wanted massages and I preferred it to be onsite. The spa is small but everyone was friendly and we both had wonderful massages. Later...

The hardest part was being allowed to go to our room! We had a rough start to our daughter's wedding weekend. Not having been to the French Quarter before, Royal Street is one way. We only drove around the block once before we could arrive at the Hotel entrance as there is only valet parking there. Don't arrive before 4:00...

First time to stay at this facility. Our rooms on the 7th floor were very comfortable. In room safe was great security item. Robe located in closet was nice surprise. This hotel's location was perfect. Car parked by hotel staff. We walked to the WWII Memorial and to Riverwalk Shopping area. The evening experience in the French Quarter was unquestionably...

Monteleone has a fantastic location on Royal Street. I've been to NOLA several times and have never been this close to the French Quarter, it made a pleasant difference in all our sight-seeing but it is pricey. I may have chosen somewhere more affordable if on my own but I shared a room with a friend. The rooms were very...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
