We stayed 11/2/16-11/5/16, and it was hands-down the best hotel experience that I've ever had. The location put us in walking distance to everything in the french quarter, and just a short walk to Canal Street where we took the bus and street car to the Garden District. But what really made this place great was the hotel staff. Specifically,...

This was my 6th time staying in New Orleans but the first time I ever stayed in the French Quarter proper. I was happy to see the rate that I saw for this place and decided it was time to just stay close to all of the action. I had fairly high expectations, which were met wonderfully. It started with...

We wanted some place that was close to the French Quarter but yet a good value. We definitely found both with this hotel. Walking distance to Bourbon Street and many other sights. Many restaurants right in the neighborhood. Room was quaint, with a large bathroom. Outside court yard was spacious and quiet. We liked hanging out there at night with...

When traveling my main concern with a hotel I've never been to is the cleanliness and the comfort. This was both and more. Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable bed. Wi-Fi, and TV were good. The people were all friendly and answer your questions. Also a great location and the style or architecture was real New Orleans. The curtains are...

An affordable hotel on the edge of the French quarter. It's got some quirks: several of the rooms do not have windows. The hotel is located directly across from the Steamboat Natchez dock, so you hear the steam whistle as the ship comes in and occasionally (read: at least a few times a day) they perform a steam whistle song...

Thank you for choosing the French Market Inn and taking the time to share your experience. We appreciate the kind words about our staff service. While the majority of our accommodations do have windows, our interior rooms are our most affordable option and are windowless due to our historic architecture. We hope you enjoyed your time in the Crescent City...

Building is very charming & historic. Pool area is nice to relax. Staff are nice & super helpful. Would def stay again. Free WIFI in the room...

Stayed at the French Market Inn Oct. 25-28. Beautiful hotel. First two nights were in a huge double bed room with a shard balcony over the street. Thought maybe it would be noisy but it didn't bother us. Heard the paddle boat steam horn and it's its music and balcony butted against a restaurant balcony but neither bother us. Hotel...

The hotel is centrally located right in the French Quarter. It is a very old structure from the 1800's updated and remodeled to suit your comfort. The rooms were kind of small but is indicative of a structure built in the 19th Century. The staff informed you of some of the most popular sites, restaurants, and highly sought after historical...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
