Been returning to this fabulous hotel formany years and each year it gets better. The staff know us even though we only visit annually! They treat us like family and it feels like home. Very convenient to all the attractions and close to Jackson Square

Hands down one of the best spots to stay in the city. My husband and I booked a room for 4 nights during Mardi Gras season and our cost for the stay was easily half of what other places were charging. We did book about 4 months in advance and were also able to get a AAA discount on top...

Wife and I stayed for a 3 night mid week first time visit to the French Quarter in April. Weather was perfect and the room was better that expected. The pictures online do not do the rooms justice. We had a courtyard view .. second floor..very clean and nice size. No elevator to our room but that was ok .....

I was very pleased with this hotel. It isn't terribly big and has a ton of character and charm. The rooms are small but it's all you need. The bed was comfortable and I slept very well there (very quiet with an interior courtyard room). The only criticism I have is that the housekeeping was inconsistent and we had to...

Hands down, the best location in the Quarter. Close to everything. Front desk folks are nice, Wayne the captain is great - got our cabs and took care of the luggage. Room was nice - could have maybe used a little better dusting, but overall acceptable. Would stay again. Price was great for weekdays.

My husband and I really enjoyed this quaint little hotel on Decatur Street. The location was perfect to everywhere you wanted to go in the French Quarter. The staff was wonderful and so helpful. Everyone there had a big smile on his face and seemed ready to help you. We drove in so we parked our car in front of...

Hotel: Located on Decatur in the French Quarter. Nice location. Short walk to bars, restaurants, the water front, etc. The surrounding area has a lot of foot traffic, so you feel safe at night. Johnny's Po Boys is literally around the corner and Crescent City Brewhouse is two doors down. One of the less expensive places in the quarter. Well...

My husband & I had planned to visit New Orleans from 31st March to 5th April this year and had prepared for our visit well in advance in January, by booking a room in the French Quarter Hotel d'Armes on St Ann's Street through booking.com. Imagine our surprise and dismay when we arrive in NO after a delayed flight from...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
