Hotel was easy to find, great for walking around the French Quarter and service was very good. Rooms were large and clean, staff was helpful, it must have calmed down after new year and all in all, a fine stay.
I stayed (x2) nights at the Sheraton during the April Jazz Festival. I was so impressed by this Hotel. Customer service was outstanding, friendly and helpful reception and tour desk staff, warm greeting each time. Immaculately, clean and tidy room. Comfy bed and pillows, cotton...More
We stayed there two different times, both before and after a cruise. The first time the heating unit had a problem and service was called. The second time the ceiling over our shower was dripping badly into our shower. Apparently the shower in the room...More
We recently visited this hotel for the Sugar Bowl. You would think that a large property in a major city would be used to crowds. Not at all. Check into hotel at noon - there were no valet parking spots available and they sent you...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
