We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Provincial. The front desk staff and valet were warm and welcoming and even though the property is undergoing restoration work during the day this did not affect our stay at all. We loved that the property is accessed through only one gate, so even though we were in a quieter part of the French Quarter it was nice having that extra feeling of security for our car and hotel room. I will note that our room had a lovely view of the Mississippi and train yard, and as such we did hear train horns once or twice during the night, but if you’re planning to stay anywhere in the French Quarter you have to expect some noise! We did not hear loud music or people shouting at night, which you may experience in other places of the Quarter. We have recommended Hotel Provincial to our friends and family for any future trips to New Orleans. …
This hotel was perfect for our trip to New Orleans. The location makes it easy to walk every where in the French Quarter. There are so many restaurants and attractions nearby. The staff were all very nice and friendly. We were traveling with our kids and appreciated how quiet and family friendly the hotel was. The main pool was so nice, we spent alot of time cooling off here, we didnt go to the smaller pool. We stayed in a petit suite with two beds, the room was a bit small, but the beds were comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay here. If we ever go back to New Orleans I would want to stay here again.
This is a great place to stay off the beaten path. It is very clean and the staff is wonderful, The only issue we had was the noise in the morning of the cleaning staff in other rooms as well as people leaving. Keep in mind that it is an old hotel so you hear doors closing, rolling suit cases and the cleaning people.
Great location. Easy walk a few blocks from Jackson Square. The valet was super nice and check in staff professional, efficient and helpful. The room had everything we needed and the bathroom was beautiful with white marble tile and floor. Our room had a view of the river.
Hotel Provincial has the perfect location in the French Quarter. We were able to walk everywhere, while being away from the noise. The buildings are charming and historic. Be sure to have breakfast at French Toast, which is attached to one section of the hotel.
The hotel is a beautiful old building and it has that New Orleans atmosphere to it. Even though they are in the midst of improvements, there was little noise or disturbance. Loved the fact that the hotel is close enough to Bourbon St to make for an easy walk and the French market and Cafe du Monde is right around the corner as well. We found a great cafe to pop in and get coffee close by on Ursulines St and just down the way one of the front desk staff recommended Stanley’s as a place for breakfast - get the prime rib Benedict and a spicy Bloody Mary, you won’t regret it! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are very clean. The hotal has a great old nostalgic vibe to it. I would definitely stay here again.
Very good three night stay in this historical property. The staff were excellent. Parking onsite was a bonus given the location in the French quarter. It is far enough away from Bourbon Street that it is quiet.
This is a fabulous boutique hotel located in the quiet section of the French Quarter. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, especially the young valet who helped us out with lots of great dining options. Our room was in building 2 overlooking the pool and was spacious and nicely decorated to suit the style of the hotel. It was extremely quiet at night which we appreciated. The location is fantastic. A few minutes walk to Jackson Square, great museums and heaps of excellent restaurants and cafes. There’s also “French Toast” located in building 5 which is a fabulous breakfast/brunch spot. Can’t wait to return to NOLA one day and we will definitely stay here again when we do.
Not a great place to get sleep. Location is great to visit the French quarter. Probably a place for a younger couple not so much for older people who aren’t partiers. Valet parking was great and valet. Attendant was very helpful.
Provincial is a beautiful representation of Southern hospitality! Friendly and helpful staff - they made great suggestions on places to eat. Terrific location that was close to most everything yet far enough from Bourbon St. to be quiet. The room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely suggest this as a place to stay!
