I have stayed here at the Olivier House Hotel for years and it just keeps getting better. From the time you check in to the time you check out the staff is so pleasant and accommodating. The have great recommendations for places to eat and attractions to see. The coffee bar in the parlor is wonderful! Our room was very...

We came here on a Girls Weekend; it was incredible! The location couldn't have been more perfect. You're right in the middle of all the best restaurants and attractions in the French Quarter. The staff was so down-to-earth and friendly. They made great recommendations and handled our luggage for us. Excellent customer service! When we come back, we will definitely...

I stayed here in august of 2016 with a group of my friends and family. I have stayed here many times over the years including my honeymoon years ago. This hotel is one of my favorite places to be! I love all the rooms but one of my favorites is by the pool 107. All the rooms are decorated differently...

My partner and I have been coming to New Orleans to shop for antiques for years. We used to try out a new hotel almost every trip until we discovered the Oliver House. We fell in love with it's charming character immediately and have stayed nowhere else since. I almost never write reviews for anything online but after reading another...

Went to Nola to celebrate our Grandson's 21st Birthday and chose the Olivier House for this memorable event. We booked three rooms with balconies overlooking the street, gardens and pool and each one was nicer than the last one. If you like modern and stainless steel this is not the place for you but if you like an experience in...

I don't think I've ever given a 1 star and honestly, I contemplated not writing this review because I hate to hurt a business. However, I think I have to share my experience here. We found this hotel on Trip Advisor and since it had 4.5 stars and seemed to get good reviews, we chose to stay here for a...

Many times these old hotels have their arms tied behind their backs by the Vieux Carre Commission, which doesn't let property owners use double pane glass, dictates what colors you can paint the exterior, and often requires that exposed brick be sealed and not even replastered - muchless painted.

The place was just too weird for us. We were on the 4th floor tucked into a two-level room with a tiny bathroom. The shower looked very nice, but had no shower caddy; only two shelves that slanted downward, so you couldn't put your toiletries anywhere except the floor. We took the comforter off the bed immediately because it looked...

I booked this hotel based on Trip Advisor reviews, but I gotta say, this place is just plain weird. Our room was on two levels...top was bed, and down was sitting area and bathroom...and the floors were slanted, so I always felt like I was going to fall down the stairs. Getting in and out of the place is like...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
