My husband and I stayed at Le Pavillion back in 2006, the weekend we got engaged and we decided to come back again for our first Mardi Gras as krewe members. We booked the Castle Suite back in May of 2016 and called a few days in advance to request an early check-in time. When we arrived at the hotel...

We stayed at Le Pavillion for 7 nights. Had the pleasure of being able to check in early (before 11am) which is typically difficult to get. Hotel staff were very pleasant and gave great suggestions. The room was on the 9th floor and newly renovated. No expense was spared and all the materials are high quality. The hotel was just...

The hotel is beautiful and good location, but the parking is extremely expensive ($40/night) and the women at the front desk are unbelieably unpolite, they put me in such a bad mood I wanted to leave the hotel.

I stayed at Le Pavillon one night from 15-16 February with my husband. We live in the Gulf coast area and was flying out of New Orleans the next morning. We had the worst experience there and we are glad we had only booked for one night! I notice a lot of the reviews were nice enough to blame things...

We (family of 3) stayed at the hotel for three nights during a milestone birthday. The hotel is over 100 years old. That's a positive point for us because the lobby and dining room architecturally is simply gorgeous. The staff at the front desk is absolutely great. We were able to check in much earlier since an early flight arrival...

We are here right now celebrating my 50th Birthday during Mardi Gras week - this is the most amazing hotel and we had a wonderful welcome and lots of help from both Adam and the lovely lady who served us in the bar this afternoon and showed us how to download the Mardi Gras parade tracker - well done to...

We had a business conference at this hotel and I must say this is one of the best hotel experiences ever. The staff was excellent and catered to our every need. The rooms we decent size for New Orleans. At 10:00 every night, guests are invited to partake of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich plus milk or hot chocolate....

We made reservations months ago for the first week of Mardi Gras never having stayed at the hotel. I checked my vehicle for $45 a day, with unlimited use. It's outside on Poydras. The drop off is good for only 2 or 3 vehicles. After some initial confusion checking in due to problems on our end, we were given 2...

Good location just a few blocks form Canal Street and right along the St. Charles Railcar line. Rooms and lobby are nicely renovated and rooftop pool is lovely. We did have trouble with the shower water not getting hot enough and found their bar prices quite high - otherwise might have given them a 5 rating.

What was very special about staying at the Le Pavillion Hotel was stepping back in time to another "day" of romantic antique flourishes, ornate lobby, large sparkling chandeliers which all created the ambiance of a by-gone era. If you don't appreciate old, historic things like that and you need modern sleek touches, this hotel is not for you. We did...

Staying in Central Business District

Neighbourhood Profile
Central Business District
Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.
