We had a lovely stay but the room was dim. The staff improved the situation but we would have preferred brighter lighting. On our last evening the room wasn't made up until we complained around 7:30PM. That was rectified when it was brought to their attention but it did cause us some inconvenience.

Dirty carpet and very sparse furniture. Good service and friendly staff. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom modern and clean. Very nice lobby and the bar had friendly service and great music nightly.

Great location and a wonderful luxury hotel right in the heart of the Quarter. Great accommodations. Room was in excellent shape and checking in was very simple. The Bell Staff was top notch...probably the highlight of the stay was the bell staff.

Second time staying at this hotel. Both times have been a pleasure. Location is perfect for our needs! Didn't see any ghosts either time but understand they exist. History of this hotel is very interesting!

The hotel is perfectly located in the French Quarter close to the cathedral where we were attending a wedding. The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Always willing to stop and answer our questions

Excellent location, friendly staff, good value for the money! Can be noisey at night as one side of the hotel backs onto Bourbon Street. Request a courtyard room if this may be a problem. Bar/lounge had eexcellent nightly entertainment.

I recently stayed at the Bourbon New Orleans and came away with mixed feelings. The location is fantastic, Orleans and Royal is a great spot for anyone to venture out into Vieux Carre. However, the room was less than what I expected given the price. The shower was a pain as the shower head had 1" of swivel, meaning it...

My husband & I stayed for 2 nights while in town for a wedding. Our stay was wonderful and the location was convenient to everything. We did have a room that faced the pool so it was quiet and had no problems getting to sleep a little early since it's right on bourbon st and I just don't party like...

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
