French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.

The room was HOT. Absolutely no air conditioning. When I called the reception desk to tell them they said they would send someone to fix. No one ever came. When I went down to the reception desk they offered me a fan but said there was nothing more they could do. They dropped a

Pretty, classic boutique hotel. It is located in a quieter part of the French Quarter (at least it was quiet when we were there.) We booked a balcony room. The balcony was huge. Concierge was very helpful.

What can I say more than the Title already says. Staying at the Bienville House is each time like visiting Family. The Staff gives you really the Feeling of being part of the BH Family. So sad it's gonna take me at least 2 years to come back and not like usually 1 year.

Bienville House was a very nice, friendly place. The people that work there are all so nice. Everyone was very helpful and very informative. We Ubered so we did not have to rent a car. The trips we took were to the swamp to see the alligators and a tour of the city. The

What is parking situation?
We used the valet. I don't remember right off what the cost was, but seems like it was typical of NOLA prices.

There are plenty available. I usually use Uber.

I am not the hotel but I don't see a problem with switching method of payment when you arrive. Granted, it probably would be a nice added level of security to notify them prior to arrival that you will want to do so, but in the end, I don't see it being an issue

Yes...My bank flagged my credit card for "suspicious activity" (probably because I was trying to make a large charge out of state) so I had to use a different credit card when I checked in. After I got things straightened out with my bank, I was able to easily change it at the desk and get the hotel charges put on the correct card.

"Recommend a room with a balcony overlooking the courtyard to avoid street noise."
"Depending on what areas the room faces, I recommend staying on the top floor."
"Face the firehouse for best views. Away from elevator."
"Worth it to get a balcony room!!!"
"We stayed on the street side of the hotel since the pool side got more noise from trains passing on the New Orleans waterfront."
