This hotel is awesome. Hidden jewel. Stayed four nites from June 17 - 20. One block from Boubon street without the noise. Walking distance to Decateur Street & Jackson Square. Reasonably priced. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Quaint courtyard where you can sit in front of a water fountain with coffee. Housekeeping staff exceptional. Would DEFINITELY recommend this hotel. Definitely... The location of Hotel Royal was excellent right in the middle of everything. We walked everywhere. Staff was so friendly and very helpful. The only things we were not satisfied with was the size of the room, lack of storage for clothes ( no dressers ) and cleanliness of the room

My friend and I spent 3 days in New Orleans, we stayed at the Hotel Royal on Royal Street, it was awesome. We are both seniors and they helped us with our luggage and helped us get info on tours and things to do in the French Quarter, I can not say enough good about the hotel and their staff.... More

5he courtyard was cute. The staff was very friendly and gave great suggestions for food. Which is not hard to find in new orleans. The room was very nice loved the exposed brick wall. And the mini fridge came in handy.

We stayed 1 night here at Hotel Royal. We picked this hotel for the cost and because of the location. We stayed in the 260squ foot room which was perfect for the 2 of us. For the price of the room with the location in the Quarter I was concerned about the conditions, but that was put to rest when... More

This hotel has a lot of good qualities however, some rooms are better than others. We happen to have stayed in a room right off of the courtyard which was nice. This hotel is kept super clean! The room itself was nice also. The bathroom, not so much. The bathroom was so small that only one person can be in... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
