In the warehouse district with the back door on Fulton St put dining and entertainment just a few steps away. Just a block from Harrah's casino and an easy walk to the French Quarter. While our unit was not as large as many timeshares, it...More
It's quiet, old and in much need of repairs and updating. It smelled weird , and the furniture is outdated . Our toilets didn't work in the 2nd room we were placed in. You don't want to know why we had to move out of...More
So much to see and do in New Orleans and loved that this timeshare was walk-able to so many things. Where in a crazy city like this can you go to a Latin Catholic Mass one day and a burlesque show another. So much fun....More
We had a one bedroom with a loft. There were two bathrooms. One in the loft and one downstairs. There were no outside windows to see out. The inside courtyard was really pretty. The staff was very nice.
We enjoyed a suite with bed in loft for a week. Sweet efficiency with laundry access.
We're budget travelers and enjoyed the national park locations. The national parks provide the best toilets in the French Quarter.
The Plaza backs up to very pleasant Fulton Street...More

Compared to the more evocative monikers of some other parts of New Orleans, the downtown’s humdrum title might suggest that this area is all about business and little else. But don’t let the bland name keep you away from the Central Business District. The CBD offers a wide range of fun things to do that would be touted as exceptional in less jubilant corners of the world. Bordered by the French Quarter, the Arts
District and Tremé, with the river at its eastern extreme, this hub for sports, gaming, shopping, theatre, family-friendly activities, and amazing regional cuisine makes a smart base wherever your interests lie.

Not sure about square footage but the unit was a decent size. It did have a pull out sofa which we did not use since it was just me and my wife. Hope this helps. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

I have to say parking is at a premium. If you stay at the Plaza Suite and use their parking (in an alley next to the hotel), you can't move the car for the duration of your stay. There is a parking garage nearby (so I was told) but I don't know the rates. If you park on the rooftop of Harrah's (about 2 blocks away) there's a daily charge unless you visit the casino each day (easy for some of us). The parking is $15/day at the Plaza and I think it's around $35/day at the parking garage and Harrah's (again, Harrah's is free when you visit the casino daily) but I wouldn't swear to it. To be honest, if you're a walker, the French Quarter is nearby (although the Quarter covers a lot of ground) and cabs are not that pricey from the Plaza (about $8 for the three of us to Jackson Square or the Market) We rented a golf cart (for up to 6 persons is available) for $99 for 4 hours and drove up and down every street in the Quarter in that time. They're easier to park if you want to stop for lunch (parking for a fee, except on Sundays). The Plaza will tell you about available nearby parking.
